Though the buffet options are lavish, the à la carte menu surprises with nuanced Indian food as well. The 'Tandoori Prawns Pomelo Salad' juxtaposes flavours of the sea and land with refreshing inventiveness. Equally feisty are the 'Tandoori Lamb Chops' which seem to have been marinated for hours in yoghurt and freshly-ground spices. An integral part of the main course menu is the 'Zafrani Chawal', where long-grained rice is perfumed with the high profile saffron condiment. It is a sin to give the luscious Indian desserts a miss as there are 'Ras Malai', 'Gulab Jamun' and 'Phirne' vying for space here.
I am just back to my room in Novotel after having the buffet dinner at the Food Exchange and still cursing myself that why I was there. I have never seen such a pathetic service at a road side dhaba also. I am gold member of Le Accor and have stayed almost at 20 Novotel hotels worldwide but never seen such a lapse in the service as if they are not interested to serve.. At the entry the lady greeted her and made her sit on one of the vaccant table. More than 60% of restaurant was empty but no one bothered to come to our table to ask for water or ask whether we want a la carte or buffet. Finally my wife decided to go and explore herself. And came back to table with the buffet food. After 15 minutes finally the water was served and everytime we had to call someone for drink menu or drinks. Even when my drink was over no one came to ask if I want to repeat my drink .I again had to call someone for repeating my drink. For breads for clearing the used palte we need to run behind the waiters as if we are here to eat free, that too when your restaurant is half empty. The food was good. They could have added few more options for the price they charge but whatever was presented tasted good. But again the service left us with much more to be desired. The worst dinner of my life. Never again for sure.
We went for a family dinner and were highly impressed with the hospitality, service and food experience at Food Exchange. We ordered for a mix of oriental and Indian dishes and both the dishes were inch perfect in taste. Kudos to the team of chef's led by Chef Kailash for the authencity in the food cuisines. Highly recommended outlet
Nice range of cuisines. Too many choices to choose from. Great service. Not disappointed at all. They could improve the dessert section though by adding ice-creams.
The quality of food offered at Food Exchange Restaurant (Novotel) was simply awesome. Also, ambience and hospitality provided by chef was exceptional! Wanted to come back here again and again! :)
I went for dinner at food exchange few days back and omg what a buffet spread they had. As u enter u get greeted by this huge glass fridge with wide variety desserts. The ambience was amazing. The servers were amazing nd so responsive.. the buffet had fresh fruits , cheese platter, wide variety of breads nd this place has the best hummus ive had in long time with freshly baked pita bread nd so many condiments to choose from. Bt the star item of this buffet was the live station where they were making fresh burgers, hotdogs & sandwich.. i was so full i skipped the main course nd ate dessert which were again luked & tastes delicious. I will highly recommend this place to someone who wants to celebrate or have normal dinner with family or friends
