A no-frills new eatery in the restaurant's hub of Satya Niketan is a veteran chef, Ramit Wason’s second outlet, first being in East Patel Nagar. He has chalked out a lean menu which features classics from Mexican, Italian and Continental genre. The preparation is simple with fresh seasonal produce in non-fussy flavours, at unbelievably reasonable prices. 'Plain Tomato soup' and 'Firangi Veggies Salad' was a perfect start to my meal followed by 'CMX Cheese Baked Nachos' and 'Zesty Cottage Cheese Mexican Wrap'. 'BBQ Chicken Nachos' and 'Hot Rod Mutton Keema' are stealers of the Mexican section. Go for 'CMX Mutton Kebab Burger' or 'Peri Peri Grilled Chicken' as they have amazing flavour. ‘Early Bird Chicken Pasta’ and ‘Chicken & Corn Roadster Sandwich' are showstoppers, tells Ramit. As a side dish, there is a perfect choice of 'Paprika Potato Fries', 'Chicken Nuggets', 'Spicy Potato Wedges' and more. 'Waffles' are the USP of this café as they are offered in various dips with your choice of toppings. Here I found my classic cold coffee which I relished and promised to come back for a nice 'Hot Chocolate Coffee' winter afternoon. A simple meal in a little café (as space is a constraint here), Cafe Mechanix is overall a great hangout for a cosy meal with friends and family.
