If you are in the mood for a good old-fashioned meal then Café Pride has some gems that you can choose from. Skip the soups – they are the same old boring broths – Mulligawtawny and Minestrone – opt to eat the Fish Amritsari instead which is marinated with beautiful spices and totally get your palate going. The traditional Club Sandwich is also very good – with a lovely filling of eggs, coleslaw and ham or vegetables whatever you might prefer. But if you are looking to eat a full meal stick to Indian food. The Bhatti ka Murg is quite outstanding as is the Surkh Jhinge while the Bhunee Chaat – a mix of potatoes, pineapples, pears and apples skewered into a kebab is just delicious. For the mains try the Rogan Josh and Paneer Makhani for the good old fashioned Delhi flavours. Pair this with Onion Kulcha and Lahsooni naan. Stick to the kulfi for dessert and you willdefinitely eat a good meal.
The Cafe Pride at Pride Plaza Hotel has a good seating capacity and the spread on offer is quite wide and varied. Quality of food is standard. Service on the table has scope for improvement as guests have to often remind 2-3 times for serving the order. The place is well laid out with good ambience.
Cafe provides a wide selection of food in various cuisines. We ordered biryani and halwa. The quality of foodwas good. The ambience in the cafe has been beautiful.
I am normally not in favour of buffets but we went for a buffet lunch @ Cafe Pride with quite a few apprehensions in our mind. However, the meal turned out to be delicious and service prompt. The pomegranate juice was just right and Chat range amongst the starters were really good. The standout items in the mains were Kadhi-Pakoda where pakodas were just right - neither too hard nor mushy-soft. It is possibly the best I have ever had. Palak Paneer was also very good. Methi daal was a nice variant with just the right degree of methi-bitterness. On the continental side, baked veggies were perfectly al dente. Finally, my favourite section in the buffet - desserts - Chocolate cake was superb and so was Kesar Sevaiyan I tasted this item for the first time. Burp! I ate much more than what I normally have at a buffet where I nibble at salads!

At odd times of the night when hunger pangs hits you, the all-day coffee shops come in handy. Delhi is simply bursting with several luxury hotels who take deep pride in their gastronomy and every hotel comes with a 24X7 coffee shop where you can waltz in any time of the day or night for a hot fulfilling bite. The scenario works well for the jetsetters also who have to fly in and out of the city at various times of the night, which majorly ends up with them being hungry. To quench any of their midnight hunger pangs they too look up to the all-day dining restaurants that are known to serve global cuisines regardless of the time. ‘Café Pride’ of Pride Plaza Hotel in Hospitality District Aerocity is a one wonderful example of fine dining around the clock.
Similar to other luxurious all-day dining restaurants, Café Pride too dabbles into various global cuisines at the same time. Its menu is nothing short of splendid, exploring cuisines from India, Mediterranean and Europe. Bill may be on the hefty side so don’t be surprised. It’s the price of dining in a luxury hotel. One thing that sets Café Pride apart from the rest of the mainstream restaurants is that it doesn’t serve alcohol. Tipplers can make do with a milkshake, tea, coffee or mocktail. The menu opens with a lavish breakfast spread following it up with a vast series of appetizers. Nibble on, surkh jhinge, Mediterranean tuna salad, dahi ke kebab, bell pepper bruschetta, trilogy of chicken kebabs and quesadilla. Gobble down the burgers, pizzas, steaks, fish & chips, crepes, curries to satisfy any leftover appetite.
When it comes to desserts, its best to reach far and wide. Go through Café Pride’s luscious sweet course and savor decadent nibbles like, kulfi, apple cinnamon pie, gulab jamun, New York cheese cake and rich chocolate brownie. Café Pride may not be experimental but it does provide long-standing favorites in excellent form. Interior of Café Pride is elegant and tastefully done up. Soft earthy tones are used to bring warmth to the place; pale ceiling lighting does rest. Dining style is kept formal here so the diners can sit and eat in comfort. Ambience is attractive, refined and subtly elegant. Café Pride would be wonderful for an official meeting or a small family get together too.
