The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the aroma of freshly brewed tea and the calming vibe of shelves filled with books. The ambience is cozy, peaceful, and beautifully designed for reading, working, or just relaxing.

Their tea selection is amazing—fresh, flavourful, and served with care. The snacks are light yet delicious, and the staff is polite, quick, and always helpful. What I loved most is the balance: you can enjoy your tea while browsing through books without feeling rushed.

If you’re someone who enjoys quiet corners, good tea, and a comforting atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for book lovers and anyone who wants a calm, refreshing break. ??

So here is my experience : my frnd was visiting us in Delhi and before she come we were ( frnds) exploring some affordable places. I liked this place on goggle however, when I read the reviews.

1- if your food is over staff might say to leave and is rude said in many comments.
Personal experience - NO, if u have food on yr table they not gonna say anything. They weren't super polite too. Netural. Since place is on cheaper side. (Menu)

2- food was tasteless? Sry it was decent enough at this price. We ordered vada pao, loved the walnut maple cookie, platter of chips with dips. Masala chai and cold coffee.

In short if you are looking for decent place to visit, hangout in cp and then coming here for food. It's nice.

Looking for marvellous italian dishes may not be.

On 30th Dec 2025 I visited this place and ordered a nacho mix salad. There I found a dead cockroach all cooked and seasoned.
When I called the staff regarding it, they were smirking as if they did not care about it all.
One of them even had the audacity to just say “ Sir galti ho gayi Wo olives ke Saath aa gaye honge HUM KYA HI KAR SAKTE HAI”.
Not at all recommended to visit. If they can just so easily say this so just imagine how the cleanliness and safety measures would have been taken place inside the kitchen.

Nice setup and decent vibe, but it’s noisy — not ideal if you want a cozy or slightly premium feel. Works better for college crowds, budget hangouts, or a quick first-date vibe check rather than a planned café date. Food is affordable, but the taste didn’t impress me personally. Some people may enjoy it, but if you’ve tried good pizzerias, this probably won’t stand out. Feels more like a pit stop in CP than a destination café.

Having visited Cha Bar in Connaught Place multiple times with my friends, I can confidently say it's one of the best cafés in Delhi for a relaxed tea-time experience. Located inside the Oxford Bookstore at N-81, Connaught Place, Cha Bar beautifully blends books with a cozy café vibe, making it a unique hangout spot in the heart of the city.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the extensive tea menu – offering over 150 varieties from across the world. My personal favorites include the Masala Chai, Earl Grey, and the refreshing Passion Fruit Iced Tea. It’s the perfect place to unwind over conversation, especially if you enjoy trying exotic blends.

Food-wise, Cha Bar doesn’t disappoint. Among the most popular dishes are the Bun Tikki, Fish and Chips, and Smoked Chicken Pasta – all reasonably priced and flavorful. The Club Sandwich and Arrabiata Pasta are also great picks for a light bite. The food complements the tea beautifully, making it an all-around satisfying experience.

The ambiance is quiet, artsy, and perfect for readers and writers. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying some alone time with a book, Cha Bar offers a peaceful escape from the hustle of CP.

The average cost for two is around ₹450, making it budget-friendly too. If you're a tea lover or someone who appreciates a calm café with character, Cha Bar in Connaught Place is a must-visit spot in Delhi.

Cha Bar is lucky to have Ishita on their team. Despite the cafe being busy, she made our visit truly memorable. She was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, taking the time to recommend the perfect tea and snack pairing for me and my girlfriend.
We were also impressed by her genuine kindness. When she complimented our fashion sense, it felt so sincere and made us feel even more welcome
With a cup of coffee, Ishita's friendly demeanor and dedication to providing great service are a testament to the staff's pride in their work. We'll definitely be returning, and it's all thanks to her.

Very much crowded and compact place. There is a book store and small cafe at affordable  price. Not for people who want peace and cozy time.

In the span of three weeks, I have already been here thrice. It's a cozy, small dine-in space inside the Oxford bookstore. The food is affordable, hot chocolate is delicious, best to avoid biryani and other Indian delicacies here though. Stick to Italian menu, pasta and salad is great, so is the South Indian coffee. It can get super crowded owing to the small space and service can be slow too. Good space to eat food, talk books and just be by yourself.
