Love the place. The food the cuisine and the staff... All good. We had their signature cocktails and dishes as recommended and happy with what we ate. Chocolate and orange zest dessert was a bit of letdown but that wont stop us from visiting again.
The SDA market has revolved into a hip place for youngsters to hang out. There are a number of small restaurants that serve good food. Chi is one of the larger ones and has a good menu and provides South East Asian cuisine. The momos (steamed dumplings) are quite nice and their Thai food is fairly authentic. Overall the service îs outstanding and the team is helpful and attentive.
Very neat small place for Asian cousine. Loved their signature cocktails. Pretty good servings . Waiters are well Informed. They give good recommendations.
Nice place with cool ambiance. Food was amazing with different kind of preparation and taste. I went with my husband and friends. We had flat noodles, honey chilli potatoes, dry manchurian, rice and chicken. All were good. Location is also convenient in SDA market, Hauz Khas. Food 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Service 4/5
Dined at Chi after almost the decade. The ambience is brighter, it's chirpier and the food is just as good as I remember it. The waiting staff was very friendly and helped us with nice recommendations. A warning: The first floor is low on height, so for people like me (above 6 feet in height), be ready to duck.
Pan Asian cuisine’s popularity has spread throughout the country like wild fire. Its lightness and aromatic flavours hit all the right notes on gastronomy level. A bowl of noodles with my favourite gravy is my go to meal in times of acute heartache. The common spices used to flavour pan Asian food is similar to our own Indian cuisine so somehow that link binds us with them. Located in trendy and popular location like SDA, Delhi, Chi Kitchen & Bar is very much in demand for its food. The location is happening and visited by the youth frequently. The neighbouring cafes are always flooded by customers making Chi Kitchen & Bar a hot favourite. The ambience of the restaurant is trendy and smart. The beautiful lamps overhead washed the place in a golden glow. The design has earthy overtones with rich browns. Usage of wood looks stunning. Huge picture window seats are great for enjoying your meal with the view of the market.
The pan Asian menu is light on stomach which makes it ideal for after movie or a date night. The menu has healthy options in droves. Start the Asian delight with their scrumptious appetizers. Order within mix seafood soup, sundried chilli fish, butter garlic prawn, chicken Beijing, thai style spring rolls, salt & pepper vegetables, the golden triangle, sliced lamb in basil leaves, prawns in black pepper sauce, chilly prawns and stir fried pakchoi & tofu. Everybody loves ramen soup. It’s a complete meal. Chi kitchen makes awesome ramen. Their stir fried noodles are so delish especially pad thai, yaki soba, lo mein, khee mao, yaki udon and Cantonese chowmein. To go with your rice and noodle fragrant curries such as hunan pot, thai traditional curry, phenang curry and musaman curry are part of the menu.
Succulent dim sums are a must have at Chi. The fillings of pork, spinach & mushroom, prawn cilantro, wasabi prawn, chicken celery, sweet & sour vegetables and seafood are well made. Don’t come away without trying chef’s special soft shell crab, braised vegetables, nasi goreng and shanghai steam fish. The desserts are few but yummy. Caramel cake with vanilla ice cream, chocolate cake, lemon cheesecake, fudge brownie and darsaan are perfect end to the meal. The place is good to visit with friends and family. Affordable and reasonable Chi kitchen & bar is a place worth looking into.
