Take a turn around Delhi and you will notice just how many Indian restaurants flanks the horizon. Every lane, crook and cranny of the city is crammed with several stylish eateries and most of them are desi. Number of Indian serving restaurants have swelled in proportion due to growing demand for curries, paving way for those quaint desi eateries that take pride in their heritage and strive to put out untapped version of Indian gastronomy. You too can experience the rural charms of India without crossing Delhi border. Perched on the second floor of N Block, Outer Circle of Connaught Place is a colourful dining space that is soaked in Indian culture. It goes by the name of ‘Desi Villagio’, and is a far cry from those modern classic spaces which seems to have invaded Indian fine dining scene.Staying true to the desi theme, Desi Villagio puts out an excellent curry heavy menu. Their selection is brimming with mouth-watering North Indian/Mughlai curries and a smorgasbord of melt-in-your-mouth kebabs. Although a kick-ass bar menu comes along their grub spread, skip the booze and opt for a glass of traditional Indian beverage like chaach, thandaai or aam-e-khas. Combine with it few appetizers such as, murgh malai jaffrani, boti kebab, khas tandoori chaap, amritsari machhi tikka, makhmali seekh, murgh peshawari, hariyali paneer tikka, kalmi kebab, galafi seekh, tandoori prawn and burra kebab. Pair their scrumptious curries with an assortment of buttery naans or aromatic biryanis. Multani murgh, paneer roganjosh, pindi channa, khumb masala, murgh lababdar, bhutta methi palak, dal panchmael, chaap do pyaza and fauji chowk ka lasooni tikka masala are their most ordered mains.Ease your taste buds further by sampling Desi Villagio’s spectacular desserts. Woo your palate with scrumptious, rabri, rasmalai, gulab jamun, moong dal ka halwa, phirni and gajar ka halwa. Families get ample of space to laze around and dine in comfort. Weekends are especially busy for them, don’t even think about visiting without a booking. While there are glitzier eateries in town, Desi Villagio has its own rural desi charm. Window looks out on a modern concrete jungle and inside the view is old-fashioned. Walls have been given a mud baked look with lovely white murals painted on them as they do in village. Faux trees, rural curios, pure wooden furniture, brass tumblers etc. are used to give that village look. Desi Villagio is moderately priced too.

Desi Villagio is a restaurant in Connaught Place, New Delhi serving North Indian, Mughlai and kebabs. Known for North Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

The place serves amazing food. Its expensive but the food is really good. The preparation, taste, aroma, plating, everything is very well balanced.
The ambiance is also very good.

We had such a great experience at Desi Villagio in Delhi. The atmosphere is warm and beautifully designed with a traditional village theme that feels authentic without being overdone. It is a really nice escape from the busy city outside.

The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavour, well presented and clearly made with care. The North Indian dishes in particular were outstanding and tasted very fresh and rich in spices. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable and helped us choose some excellent dishes.

The food was very bad. The sitting arrange of table and the staff everything of hilarious quality. This kind of restaurant should be permanently close they are scamming ppl I paid almost 1300 rupees for just naan and paneer sabzi it’s fine tho but atleast serve the quality as the charged price they served only 200ml subzi which was not even enough to eat with maximum two naan where I get to pack one naan coz the subzi already was over coz of very less quantity and taking 655 rupees for normal subzi which has zero quality of flavour the same I can get on any street with only maximum 70 rupees and if we say quality and quainty both it can be maximum cost 20 rupees and they’re taking 655 without taxes

Best place for fine dining. Food and service both are good. Ambience is also good and provides a very good atmosphere.

Food quality has degraded a lot. Last time I was here, the food was good, but recently, it was really disappointing. Ordered 3 items and all were so bad that we decided to leave. Palak patta chart was too hard, chilli potato felt like it was from a street side stall, just basic fries with sauce and spices, and malai chicken had a weird smell.

Had visited the Noida cousin many a time and didn't quite realise the relationship till I saw the decor. Located on the 2nd floor next to a Barbecue Nation outlet just where Janpath meets Rajiv Chowk. Not easily discoverable.
Tasty food, with attentive service made for some nice dining. Restaurant is L shaped with seating at the short end of the L being near the windows.
Some elements missing from the Noida experience were the pickle box that came around regularly and finger bowls after the meal.

This restaurant was quite a pleasant surprise. With beautiful ambience, tasty food, a friendly manager and polite staff, our experience was extremely satisfying. The ambience was literally desi village-vibe. We loved the murgh platter and the fried fish. Would love to visit again.

I have celebrated the best Valentine's Day with my girls here.
The food is amazing we had Malai soya chaap which is the best we loved that. And In the main course we had Dal makhani with plain rice and tandoori roti which is again the the best dish we had today❤ And in the drinks we had Masala chaanch and Fruit punch which I loved the most ❤
