One of the few restaurants in the heart of Delhi that has always piqued the interest of people. Anime theme décor makes for a refreshing change. While it definitely serves some of the best sushi in NCR, it is the latest feather in the cap is the 'Poke Bar'. A meal in a bowl concept that allows you to eat deconstructed 'Sushi' (if you wish) to soul-affirming ramen bowls that are just absolutely the rage around the world. Of course, you need to order the 'Edamame Sea Salt' because no visit to Guppy is complete without it and the same goes for the 'Pork Belly' which is glazed with a 'Miso Mustard Sauce'. The 'Chicken Ramen' is excellent too but if you are looking to go old school Guppy.

Did you have any idea that a vibrant and quirky Japanese restaurant is tucked away in the lodhi road interiors. Between tailors and drycleaners lies a one of a kind Japanese themed joint. The place is visited often by gastro addicts and college students with acquired taste of authentic Japanese food. Guppy by Ai is unique in name itself. It is definitely memorable. Lodhi colony has been invaded by Japanese visitors and their local friends to remind them selves of home cooked food. The restaurant is designed to relax and linger over tempuras. Owners have used life size Japanese figurines to pep up the place by hanging them from the ceiling. Anime illustrations are painted on the wall to authenticate the place. And it all works. Reminds me on nippo. The restaurant is surprisingly airy and washed with pastel colours.
