We think that the extreme brevity of the name (that stands for kababs and curries) doesn't do justice. With hundreds of candles on the walls and dim lighting, it could have been the toast of this part of the city. Alas, even the better-than-average food doesn't bring in the punters. Gosht hari mirch features green chillies and burhani gosht relies on red chillies – both dishes showcase the skill in the kitchen. For novelty value, the chicken shamis are a good bet.
We dined here on our last night in Delhi and what a treat it was! The first thing that strikes you is the decor and atmosphere on entering the restaurant with hundreds of burning candles lining either side of the entry way. The food was excellent, particularly the prawns and another vegetable dish with asparagus tips. The waitstaff were so attentive to every detail and at the end of the meal even introduced the chef to us which was a delight. Only criticism was the live traditional music being played by two musicians was just a tad loud and had the conversation at the table at shouting level.
This restaurant was inside our hotel and not well publicized. the food and servie were excellent and the atmosphere was much better than the regular buffet. our server was outstanding with food and wine recommendations
Hard to overstate how good the service was, food and ambience also amazing. Reasonable price also for a decent hotel restaurant.
We received the royal treatment at K & K (Kebabs & Kurries) this evening! Our three course meal was sumptuous. One of us enjoyed the vegetarian, the other savored the chicken and lamb option. The brilliant mirrored ceiling artfully magnified the candlelight walls and local music played by gifted musicians rounded out the flavor of our luxury evening. Our delicious meal was heightened by our exceptionally kind and accommodating waiter, Vedansh, who patiently educated us as to what we were enjoying. He more than doubled the excellence of the experience. The rest of the staff was equally kind. Dining here will make a lovely evening and should not be missed if you are nearby!
Seriously impressed by the food, service staff, experience and decor of this restaurant. I'm a huge foodie and it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to food and I was quite impressed by the food here. Out of literally hundreds of Indian restaurants from several continents (yes I know not all of them were actually "authentic Indian") I have dined in around the world, this was certainly the best. Our waiter Ali especially made our experience even way better, from receiving us while we entered, excellent waiting service, to when he handed us our bill to send us off. I was impressed by the perfect recommendations he gave to us once he understood what kind of meal we were looking for, his recommendations made our meal miles better than had we just ordered ourselves. We got the kebab platter, prawn dishes, lamb biryani, garlic naan, prathas, and a few other dishes whose names I don't exactly recall. The staff were very attentive, yet giving us right amount of attention, coming to the table at the right time for orders and drink refills, very informative and competent. I think Ali especially is a huge asset to the restaurant and the hotel, he knows what good service is and has a great attitide. Overall the whole staff had a very nice attitude, including the live gazhal band who helped make my mom's birthday extra special. Also loved the decor of the place, although I would have loved if all the candles were lit, but I understand that it takes a lot of effort. Very satisfied, one of my best dining experiences. Worth the visit guys, give it a go. For me it was worth the 2 hour drive I took from Apollo Hospital in peak traffic hour.
For an average epicurean curry is something that is synonymous to Indian cuisine but the curry culture is not exclusive to Indian shores, rather it manages to touch all over the globe with its delicious aroma. If you are a curry buff like us then you will find the expansive range of curry houses tucked all over Delhi NCR great to dabble in. There is one for every occasion. For a fancy special event, we have just the place for you. A one glamourous pit stop for awesome curries served in a dynamic ambience – ‘K & K’. The restaurant is a gorgeously designed dining room with luxurious stylish interiors and a classy ambience to impress it’s patrons. It’s housed under WelcomHotel, Plot 3, Sector 10, Dwarka, New Delhi.
The name K & K presumably stands for kebabs & curries, which in itself is self-explanatory. Their menu takes you on a joyride of flavours across North India, handpicking dishes from the royal households and rural kitchens to create a menu designed to dazzle. A smashing bar menu accompanies the grub to accentuate the flavours even more. Choose a merlot to go with your kebabs or a smooth malt to chase the salty nibbles. Tuck into, pudina paneer tikka, sabut lobster, murgh malai kebab, dum ki raan, nimona tikkiya, tali subz machli, murgh shami, seekh kebab and tala gosht. Pick up a taftan or khamiri kulcha to mop up, murgh khusk purdah, jhinga do piaza, subzazar kofteh, burrhani gosht, mahi qaliya, shatawari rutab, murgh khurchan, gosht hari mirch and paneer sirohi. For an unbeatable evening don’t skip their legendary Dal Bukhara.
Dessert course of K & K is fit for the royals. An assortment of rich Indian desserts awaits you here. Gobble up, gulab ki kheer, shaan-e-aam, shahi tukra asal, kulfi and zauq-e-shahi. The prices are not outrageous but they’re still expensive enough. K & K organizes live music gigs often. Try to schedule your visit around that time to add an extra oomph to your evening. The restaurant gives a lovely backdrop for a special date. If you want to razzle-dazzle someone with glamour then this restaurant will do the job perfectly. Interiors are stunning. Modern spacious dining room dotted with formal tables gives the place a fine dining air. Walls and walls of ambient lighting working with the minimalistic décor projects a sophisticated vibe.
