Kama perfects the art of Indian fine dining, with gilded interior accents, mother-of-pearl inlay work on tables and ornate pendant lamps. The menu has recently been refurbished, in an effort to get the palates of their patrons out of a rut. A battery of chefs work the kitchens of Kama, with the aim of rustling up fresh-off-the oven kebabs, seekhs and bharwaan dishes. 'Lucknowi Galouti Kabab' is the real deal though the 'Paratha' accompanying it could be softer. The main course entries are also selected with an eye on authenticity and presentation. The 'Nihari Gosht' features mutton shanks with falling-off-the-bone meat, bobbing in a warming broth of caramelised aromatics. A great accompaniment to it is the 'Murgh Lucknowi Biryani', which regales you with its fragrant rice and subtle flavourings. Ingredients are given top priority here and they shine in simple, classic desserts such as the 'Kesari Batashe Wale Gulab Jamun', which are devoid of chewy centres often present in chain store offerings.
