Just like all the My Bars around town, My Bar Grill is no exception to average food and cheap alcohol. Having said that, there are somethings that you can safely order from the menu and make a good meal for yourself. Stick to the Indo-Chinese food – the greasier the better. So order the 'Honey Chilli Potatoes' and 'Chilly Chicken' without any hesitation. The 'Kebabs' can be a bit of a hit and a miss. We tried the 'Tandoori Chicken' which was very average but it was the 'Corn Kebab' and the 'Dahi Kebab' which took us by surprise and were actually quite good. If you want to eat the mains, the 'Fried Rice' with pan Asian vegetables are nice while the 'Dal' and 'Butter Chicken' are just about edible. Stick to the starters we would say and line your stomach for those potent drinks.
We have visited the place twice this year and both times two different experiences. But one thing that was common is great music and good people.
Best prices, great service. Awesome DJ, smoking area. Best bar that would not burn a hole in your pocket, offer you hukkah too and is in the area where all other clubs have an entry charge of 2000 per person at least. This charges nothing.
Guys please beware of taxes as they will charge you upto 35% tax on your bill including 10% VAT , 2.5% CGST , 2.5% SGST and 20% Alcohol tax. I was there on 23rd September for Ind vs Pak match but I got the bill , I asked about the taxes imposed ,this is the time when Mr. Tanuj Rana ( Manager) came into the picture and start fighting over this bill. However I had to pay the bill along with 35% tax. Please beware before visiting this place.
I was looking for a place to relax after a hectic day and catch up with Old Friends and got the suggestion of My Bar Grill. The service there was good and prompt, although food order took sometime to get prepared. All in all a good place to hang out for a quick get to gether, although music is a bit loud considering the limited space, but that can be taken care if you sit out in the open/ balcony.
I started yesterday's Hauz Khas Village exploration with My Bar Grill, and can say that it is a comfortable place with decent service and live music (I personally don't prefer it) that is not too taxing on your pocket. Murgh Malai Tikka was the standout amongst the starters I ordered. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they billed me for a beer more than what I had actually consumed!
Drinking has become quite an expensive hobby if you have an active social calendar and taste for good booze. Your frequent outings in the hottest bars of the city can take a toll on your wallet, leaving you in the red by end of every month. But you can have it all, an unbarred social scene as well as a heavy pocket. How? Aim for the budget-friendly bars! Delhi has numerous pocket-friendly bars in its hold and if you keep on reading then you may have found your next watering hole. In the trendy pocket of Hauz Khas Village, which is crawling with happening bars and cafes is a hip new bar ‘My Bar Grill’. This popular chain of bars has become quite a crowd magnet for the young punters, who come in often to drink till they drop.
Give your evening a boost with a round of shooters to get the things started. Follow it up with few glasses of cocktails or, if you like your drink hard, scotch or tequila. Try their fusion cocktails. They do some delicious blends. Enjoy few nibbles from their multi-cuisine menu. Start with some salads or soups but for something a bit more substantial, dig into their appetizers. Nibble on, panko crumb fish, chilly mushroom, mutton seekh kebab, pepper corn cheese roll, chicken satay, dahi kebab, nachos, shish taouk, honey chilli potato, tandoori broccoli, paneer tikka, grilled prawns and murgh malai tikka. Move to the main course and eat, Hyderabadi biryani, veg sizzler, prawns with hot garlic sauce, Spanish chicken steak, spaghetti with meat balls, fresh garden pizza, seafood baked pasta, mix veg in black bean sauce and butter chicken.
Wrap up this lavish meal with something sweet before heading back home. Polish off a brownie with ice cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce to indulge your sweet tooth. Live sports screening keeps the diners occupied. Interiors are designed to give a rustic coarse appeal. Exposed ceiling, unvarnished brick walls, broken plaster pillars and wooden rafters sums up the structure. To add finesse however they add loads of walls art, smart chairs with photo-printed upholstery and modern looking lamps. Scene is dimly lit, giving a very sleazy mysterious appeal. Mood is informal and laid back here, preferred by the youths. The bar is comparatively pocket-friendly, which only adds to its popularity.
