Went with my wife for lunch on a friday afternoon expecting good food but what we got was bland food and when we enquired about it the answer what we got was “our food is always bland”. They did try to better the dish by adding somespices but failed miserablly, so anyone who wishes to eat food with an Indian pallet, please avoid
I went to Nooba for a Monday lunch. The place has good interiors and comfortable seating. I ordered Chilli garlic chicken noodles bowl which was spicy and delicious as per my taste. Also I had fish in black bean sauce and fried rice bowl which was equally good. The only concern was that the staff confused our order as well as bill even though the place was almost empty. All in all a good place to have authentic Chinese.
#restaurantreview NoobaNooba is an Asian fine dine restaurant situated opposite crossroads at cyber hub.See through kitchen, dream catcher wallpapers and Chinese like lantern lights made the interiors look really classy.Following are the dishes we tried :1.Fried garlic veg soup with beancurd: A bowl full of taste, flavours and textures.flawless.2.Tomato and egg soup: Average.I was able to make out raw egg flavour so will give it a skip.3.Fish with dry red chilli and black bean: The best dish so far.Crispy outside and soft flaky inside.Garlic was overpowering the taste though.Rest spices were balanced.4.Lamb in oyster sauce: A highly recommended dish with perfectly cooked lamb with fresh and crisp vegetables providing crunch and flavours in each bite.5.Ma po beancurd: super soft melt in mouth bean curd but the pepper was again overpowering the dish.6.lao Han vegetables in white garlic sauce.Crunchy and fresh vegetables with apt amount of seasonings and right sauces. 7.Veg hakka noodles: The thick egg noodle wheat variety of hakka is what they use. They were little bland when you have them without any curry but go well when teamed up with Gravies. 8.Veg fried rice: Average rice dish and goes well with Gravies.9.Chocolate walnut brownie : Freshly baked brownie was warm and gooey and wasn't too sweet.10.Cosmopoliton: Drinks are a u.s.p here as they are made and served up to mark.Overall a place with great vibes, courteous staff. The chicken and fish preparations are a must have here and drinks too.A great place for Asian food lovers. The best part is that the portion size is good enough for 2 people and flavours are balanced.Rating:4/5
NooBa, A Delightful Asian Restaurant snugly located on the ground floor of Tower C, Building 8 in DLF Cyber City, Gurugram was a great place to hang out on Saturday afternoon with Foodies . Coming from the house of InterGlobe Group, operators of Indigo Airlines, and also the owner of China Club, Gurgaon, where we last tasted exceptionally Royal feast, NOOBA is a soothing cozy restaurant with lovely Chinese flavors and taste. Vibe is classy and elegant. Loved their Asian theme wallpaper with Chinese lanterns. The Patio interiors with wooden benches, couches and hanging lanterns all across and a separate small lounge for 10 to 12 members makes this place suitable for groups, business Luncheon or families. Their mini bar at the left entrance followed by live kitchen make the entire seating undisturbed and yet catchy. The service is attentive and courteous. Coming down to Food and Taste, we tried array of new menu dishes. Best part of their dishes is that they stand apart. They have not followed the league or played safe, like rest of Chinese restaurants and tried to actually create and inculcate new ingredients and styles of cooking. We started with: 1. Family Bowl of Egg drop Tomato soup: 3/5Seasoning were missing and no herbs, so we could not enjoy it much. 2. Garlic Ma Po Veg Soup with Bean curd: 5/5I loved the sublime taste and garlic kick to it. 3.Fish with dry red chilli and black bean: 4.5/5The best dish of the day. Fluffy crispy and light outside and mouth melting inside. The kick of red chilli and black bean made it beautiful. Little oily, but that was marginal. 4.Lamb in oyster sauce: 4.8/5A must try for lamb lovers, who enjoy flavor and taste of lamb. Never eaten a more perfectly done lamb till date with crisp veggies and that Oyster Sauce was Fingerlicking delicious. 5.Ma po beancurd: 4/5It was a beautiful looking dish, taste Nyc too and Melt in mouth bean curd. Too saucy as a starter for me. 6. Shredded chilli chicken with onion and chili sauce: 4.5/5I am a chilli chicken fan and this was way too different from what I have ate till date and loved it. Main Course: 7. Cosmopolitan Cocktail: 4.5/5 Loved the sublime pink and Lemony cocktail. 8.Luo Han vegetables in white garlic sauce: 3.5/5Nice color, texture and taste. 9. Chicken with dry red chilli bean: 4.5/5Very light, thin slices of chicken in beautiful red colored chilli bean sauce. It was mild and flavorful. 10. Veg Noodles (egg based): 4/5Thicker than Spaghetti even, these are Nyc when it comes to the bite and could have been lovely if seasonings, and veggies were little more. Too bland for me alone, but with gravy it balanced well. 11. Veg fried rice: 4/5A little different rice grain used and similar to their egg noodles, seasoning and veggies were less and made them bland without the sauce. Sinful Desert (yummy) 10. Chocholate Souffle Swiss roll with vanilla ice-cream and Chocolate walnut brownie with vanilla ice-cream 4.8/5Loved their Souffle Swiss roll with little bitterness and chocolate sauce swirled. Although, if chocolate sauce would have been less, it would have been Heavenly. The chocolate walnut brownie was nuttie, freshly done and had lovely texture. Both served with A scoop of vanilla ice cream was nice to balance the chocolaty side. Overall loved this Luncheon and portions were nice and humble for 2 people easily. Happy to Recommend 4.4 ****/5
My third visit to Nooba in the last 6 months.Love the ambience and the decor.Seating is good and not cramped.Best part is that one gets to choose the cereal type , noodles or rice, sauce type and the protein type.....total power in the hand of customer to choose.Noodles are always served piping hot straight from the wok.Drinks are also served which include cocktails and mocktails as well.Facility of doggie bag leftover is also available in the restaurant.Servings are good and one needs to order efficiently. One dish per person is good in absence of appetizers else one dish for two person is ok.Black bean sauce on pan fried noodles with chicken protein is my favourite
