Situated in DLF Cyber City, OLLY - Olive’s All Day Café, is known for its wide variety of sumptuous food. Set up in the hustle bustle of corporate life, this café satiates everyone’s cravings. Interiors are soothing and is wooden furnished throughout. Some of the must-try dishes are ‘Toscana Pizza’ - mushrooms, black olives, peppers, eggplant and mozzarella and ‘Ravioli Calabrese’ - ravioli cooked in Calabrese sauce and parmesan. For desserts, must-try their ‘Banoffe Pie’ - biscuits, banana, dulce and cream.
We were here for an early dinner on a Sunday. Olly is a cozy cafe with some great food. Their beer pitchers are quite economical. We ordered Prawns Pil Pil, Pesto Formaggi Pizza and a Green Goddess Pasta. The food was all good and the small plates are actually quite small in serving :)
I went to Olly with m colleagues for lunch. We were seated inside where the ambience was good. They also have a typewriter for you to explore just at the entrance which you can try to use and see how it works. We ordered a large variety of items like grilled chicken, veg ravioli, pastas, burgers, etc. I tried their Royal bun which was an Indianised burger with chicken tikka and papad inside as filling and had fries on the side. It was good in taste. Also their pastas are good and something worth trying. The service is a little slow as it took time to get the items.
Bidding adieu to the romantic Olive Bistro, the team behind olive have paved the way for a warm and soothing Cafe named Olly, an all-day cafe. Marked by simplicity and holding sustainability at prime, the cafe is filled with hues of cream and brown with a fresh kick from the green plants. With an al-fresco and indoor seating at disposal, Olly would ensure that you make the most of the good weather, when feasible. A menu that celebrates their known-for pizzas and pastas, the menu at Olly has some interesting additions, all throughout the menu, that’ll leave you spoiled for choices. Being the breakfast person that I am, I looked no further and got my hands on two of their breakfast platters, namely: Huevos Rancheros and The Olly Brekker. Refried beans, pico de gallo, avocado, crispy bacon, sour cream and fried egg over a tortilla, I knew that Huevos Rancheros was a hit until I laid my eyes on the beautiful Ollys Brekker platter. Consisting of scrambled eggs, mushrooms in white wine sauce, grilled tomatoes, pork sausages, blanched spinach, crispy bacon and toasted bread, this is THE breakfast that I need every day to start my day on the best note possible. Giving in to my weakness for burrata, the Big Cheese was ordered and demolished in no time. Just fresh burrata, rosemary, honey, coriander seeds and fresh oranges, there’s no mucking around in here! If prawns are your weakness, then their olive oil-drenched Prawns Pil Pil would be addictive (we ordered them thrice. No kidding). Since nothing can beat a freshly ground pesto sauce, the Green Goddess Pasta, that comprised of penne pasta tossed in pesto along with broccoli and asparagus, was ordered. While the flavour profile was spot on, since this is a dry pasta, I’d be happy to see it in either spaghetti, linguine or angel hair pasta instead. The pizzas, needless to say, are the safest bet and won’t disappoint you a bit. The desserts menu is so good that even a person without a sweet tooth might feel like jumping in. Though this is where I’d say there’s room for improvement. The tiramisu, though bang on in terms of the texture, was slightly on the sweeter side, making the coffee greatness of the dessert mellow down. The brookie, too, had a similar issue when it came to the sweetness quotient. The pannacotta with salted caramel and popcorn had a beautiful medley of flavours, but since it wasn’t set properly, it gave the feeling of an unset custard instead.
Visited OLLY for a brunch with friends. Things to try 1. Burrata - very fresh and creamy 2. Wild waffles- savoury waffles with mushrooms and rocket leaves 3. Prawns pil pil- very fresh and succulent prawns in an oil dip 4. Smoothie Crunch bowl- it was the best thing I had here OLLY is perfect for breakfasts and brunching and my favourite spot in town.
1st & last time to OLLY. Went for a Sunday family Lunch. The staff was totally at sea. Neither could they take the orders properly nor serve the same. Many orders had to be reminded again & again. The 1st order for a fish dish was served 2nd last!!! The portion size is tiny, not even enough for 1. The mocktails were served in such small glasses! The food was very average. Not worth going back. Cyber Hub has such good options. Wonder how they are surviving??? They did not have enough Menus for the whole table!!!
