As I entered this beautiful multileveled restaurant it gave me a feeling of elevation even before the meal began. For those who seek a little more privacy, the intimate tables and individual niches allow just that. Promoter Zorawar Kalra and his wife Dildeep, have collectively conceptualized ‘Pa Pa Ya’ to be a destination for people to come to relax and enjoy the company of friends while sharing a great Asian meal. I would say that a visit here is an opportunity to experience a refreshingly unique and very tasty approach to Modern Asian Bistro style food. Chef Sahil Singh keeps a gastronomic account where supreme produce plays the role of a character on a plate, sublime but not for unadventurous souls. The ‘spiked Berkshire pork bao’ is a great example of this, the Berkshire pork in a steamed bao bun is a stunner. Enjoyably gentle creativity seen in the creation of the chef on the sushi whets your appetite for more as on the menu is a repertoire of many, from yellowtail to crab stick. The mains do not disappoint and some such as the ‘lamb rendang curry’ and ‘braised sliced chicken’ are outstanding.
