In the day when everyone is turning more and more informal in their approach, some establishments stand their ground and reminds us what it means to dine luxuriously. Foodies have forgotten the refined formal side of dining and avoid the whole elegant gimmick in preference of relaxed casual spaces but we are asking you to wake up and remind yourself the days of grandeur, when dining out was an elaborate affair. There still exists tasteful classy spaces that take pains to give their diners a luxurious memorable dining affair. Combine Pan Asian food to that scene and you have for yourself ‘Royal China’, which still practices the formal elegant approach every time. The opulent setting of Royal China is placed on 16th Floor of Eros Corporate Tower in Nehru Place, New Delhi. As the restaurant is located in heart of corporate jungle, it’s almost always busy.
The culinary charms of Royal China lies in its menu that celebrates Pan Asian food expansively. Just hand over your keys to the valet and slip inside to begin your culinary journey. Live music smooths over any lull in your conversation and only accentuates the charming ambience. Royal China gives all the amenities to its diners from Wi-Fi to home delivery to soothing air-conditioning to full-fledged bar menu. Accompany your drink with few appetizers like, peking duck, dim sums, sesame prawn toast, BBQ spare ribs, smoked-shredded chicken, prawn cheung fun, crispy butterfly prawns, crispy honey lotus stem, crispy seaweed and fried fish. Go to the next level with main course that entails, flaming prawns in superior sauce, steamed fresh whole red snapper, chicken with cashew nuts, stuffed eggplant with hot garlic sauce, mandarin fillet steak, lamb with broccoli in oyster sauce and silken tofu.
Unlike other Pan Asian restaurants Royal China offers a pretty great dessert course that is bound to excite you. Tickle your sweet tooth with baked fresh egg tart, chocolate buns, fried ice-cream, chilled mango pudding and lychees with ice-cream. Food is not the only thing about Royal China to entice you. Their décor is just as sensational as well. Their main dining room is mesmerizing and traditionally designed with heavy elegant overtones. Black and white carpet in oriental pattern and carved wooden screens gives the space an oriental feel instantly. You can even choose to sit in their outdoor area but the best seats in the house are next to the window. Royal China is expensive but so worth it.
