Part café and part delicatessen, each of the three branches in the NCR have wall art that fits in with the location. The simple but effective black-ink line drawings have become synonymous with the brand. Half-a-soup and a sandwich, eggs florentine and the signature trio of bagels, burgers and hot dogs are what most people go to eat in this smart casual eatery. The decor and service sometimes outperform the food. The ‘deli’ in the name is just that: a name.
I went to smoke house a few days back.Loved the pasta and the huge size of cup of coffee!Specially when you've booked through eazy diner, you get free dessert per person. I ordered vegetarian creamy garlic sauce fusili pasta with mushrooms and it was outstanding (totally comparable to big chill! )The bread basket that they serve complimentary cannot be missed at all.
The cottage cheese ratatouille is my favourite dish here. The strong cheesy flavour and the crispy vegetables are a delight to eat.
I also liked the tomato tequila pasta, it's nothing special as such, but quite well cooked and delicious.
The pizza was average and I didn't particularly like boss style aglio olio pasta, but that's quite all right considering how amazing the rest of the food and the ambiance was.
This used to be my favourite place until the last time we had a bad experience after eating here!
They have introduced a new organic menu which is their healthy menu and I ordered something from that but was disappointed at how it tasted!
On insistence they were very reluctant to change the dish!
They got the same dish after spicing it up and that gave me a bad stomach the next day!
I wonder what quality of food they make these days!
Not sure I ever want to go here again!
Smokehouse deli has always been one of my favourite places for dinner . Such cute Victorian decor, hand drawn wall decorations . Every little thing of this restaurant shows attention given to the customers' satisfaction.
The softest of breads, crunchiest of soupsticks and butter served before the order comes .
The water with a slight citrusy flavour because of the slice of orange they put in every jug !!! Amazing .
The service is excellent and the staff very well knows what each dish contains and which are the best to suggest :p
We ordered a mac and cheese , a Caesar salad , onion rings and peanut butter frappe .
The mac and cheese couldn't BE more amazing . That consistency of cheese !! Richness of flavour . Must try !
Caesar salad and onion rings were like expected . Up to the mark !
Drinks were amazing. And the best part - DESSERTS
We had the chocolate fondant . Thick chocolate oozing out . Finger lickin good !!
Is the menu at all the outlets different or may be i saw it more carefully this time around!! went with a friend who was having smoke house craving(i also got to know first time that apart from big chill, smoke house also has its loyalists). However at this outlet the lake is just a tag, there is no proper outdoor seating or a view. Its just the location which is spacious being in a very congested village. We ordered the aubergine mozzarella fry, whcih was a tad dry and should have been accompanied by some sauce. They had put a dash of balsamic vinegar and i asked for a bit more and the two went very well together. We then ordered the spaghetti with tomato and tequila, though different it was too bland and lacked even salt, sans any vegetables, they could have played with it a little more. We also ordered spinach and ricotta ravioli which was the showstopper and i think we should have ordered two of that!!absolutely delicious and better than the big chill ravioli. the portions are good and we were already full. to drink we had the blueberry smoothie which was served in a whiskey glass and the portion small and wasnt that great, and the kiwi cantaloupe melon and jasmine spritzer which was decent. In deserts we ordered the plum and philly cheesecake which was just a hard white mass and a disappointment. it was courtesy Eazydiner that we got the free desert but honestly you people need to crack some other deal with them as their deserts on numerous occasions have been a disappointment. However i can and you must also visit for the ravioli!!
My friends and I wail on the lack of places in delhi serving hearty continental breakfast. Some time back I was recommended this place ‘smoke house deli’ in hauz khas village which dispersed my woes. Don’t be fooled by its name. Smoke house deli is a deli style restaurant serving casual aclectic food with flair. The menu is heavily influenced by American culture but here is where the similarity ends. The owner has very brilliantly designed the décor turning the restaurant into a tunnel of light. The pale walls are covered in hand made sketches of Mughal architecture blending nicely with the view. The location compliments the interiors in every way. To sit in a beautiful room flooded with vivid sunlight sampling the gorgeous cuisine puts a big smile on your face.
In breakfast the kitchen prepares bagels, buttermilk pancakes, eggs in classic styles and hash browns. For starters they make fritters, skewers, lamb & chipotle patties, chorizo & potato picante and much more. You can make a meal with your bowl of soup and salad by adding half a sandwich. The restaurant serves various burgers and hotdogs with lamb/chicken/vegetable options. Pepperoni & bacon pizza is a pizza after your own heart. Its salty goodness gives you a pause and go mm. Their mains page is an interesting collection of recipes featuring lemon & mascarpone polenta, market vegetable pan crumble, peri peri grilled chicken and steak pit. Add cobb on side to make a picture perfect platter. The food speaks for itself. Its simplicity yet flavours packed punch bombards the mouth. The beverage menu is as extensive as well. From teas, coffee, juices they store smoothies too. The desserts created are architectural masterpieces. Hazelnut mousse flan, crème brulee, warm apple crumble all wraps up the end of meal in a neat bow.
Under two thousand you have mastered quite a bit of variety. Kids are most appreciated in this establishment. They have their own part in the menu to suit their tiny appetites. Their food is presented in fun ways too like helping of French fries arriving a mini toy truck. No two year old can resist that! On children’s day the kids get special deals too. Smoke house deli is a fantastic piece of culinary addition to our community. Visit them or lose onto a great dining experience.
