The Shangri-La finally has a restaurant it can brag about. Tamra, in the old Oriental Avenue space on the first floor, is an all-day dining restaurant that overwhelms you with the variety of options available on the buffet. There’s good Japanese (an expat chef makes the sushi), hotel-style European, robust Indian, excellent tandoori, lots of East Asian and, in a refreshing change, home-style Indian cooked by a non-hotel chef. An À la carte menu offers more options but your best bet is the buffet where many dishes are prepared to order.
The hotel breakfast was very good. The staff are very eager to get you anything you may want to eat at any point during your visit. The price is also very good considering you get access to both an unlimited buffet and a la carte dining menu. The wonderful gentleman Ambika who took care of me during all mud visits was incredibly polite and I must say a waffle artist. Truly quite delicious food with both western and local options.
Tamra restaurant , really nice. good food, varieties of drinks and the ambiance is really good with slow background music. Staffs are really nice. Specially nice to meet Mr. Karan who helped immensely with arranging food with a bright smile. Highly recommended.
Breakfast here made my morning . Month watering food, like dosa, parata , chaats , masala chai and soooooo much more. Fresh pressed jucice and all kind of coffee u want. The service make u feel like a princess . Karan our server was soooooo kind and accommodating , we asked for food that was not in the menus and he said give me 10min and I will bring it to you. Also sautosh was very helpful . This place is awesome and will make your day start the right way.
The presence of waffles and pancakes as a part of buffet menu was a definite highlight. The view from the restaurant and the hospitality was splendid.
Amazing service at shangrillas as always. We always come for Ambila who treats us like his family. I can’t even say enough how nice food and treatment we are always given here. Highly recommend for the stay and service. We actually left our breakfast at lalit to Shangrila
Our motto has always been ‘Why to have one, when you could have it all’. This is the thumb rule we abide by and it has bought us nothing but joy. Delhi is a city that is so gastronomically advanced, brimming with fresh potential and a mind-blowing culinary scene. There is just so much to explore and experience, that’s why we choose to indulge in it all rather than settling for one. To satisfy our greedy foodie soul we find all-day dining restaurants our best dining option. But which is the best restaurant in the city that suits our purpose? That’ easy to answer – ‘Tamra’. Shangri La’s Eros Hotel’s pride and joy, Tamra is something they are simply giddy about. Presiding on posh corner of Ashoka Road, Janpath, Tamra is operational 24/7. Tucked in the old Oriental Avenue on first floor, Tamra amazes you with its elegance and sophistication.
It’s a matter of superiority for Tamra to fulfil the whim of their patrons and offer them a menu that spans all over the globe. Eros Hotel has left no stone unturned to make their menu as brilliant and as satisfying as a reputed five star establishment. Tamra’s menu scales multiple cuisines exquisitely ranging from European, North Indian, Italian, Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Mediterranean. You may end up dropping quite a big bundle for the pleasure of dining at Tamra but trust us, it will be so worth it. For early risers, Tamra serves a fantastic breakfast spread but for those visiting in the evening the restaurant offers, satay ruam, tandoori tellicherry prawns, poh pia sod, minestrone soup, aam papad paneer tikka, Thai fisherman’s basket, burrah kebab and so much more.
The main course is a heady mix of curries, burgers, steaks, Thai gravies, sandwiches, pastas and other European fare. To indulge your sweet tooth opt for, pecan nut tart, deconstructed black forest, Tamra chocolate and homemade gelatos. Visually Tamra is a delight and a sight for sore eyes. Drink in the sun flooded vast space designed entirely in modern and sharp way. The general dining area is flanked by a wall of glass that overlooks the lush landscape of the hotel. Interiors are classy, contemporary, stylish and very good-looking in every way. Elegant private dining rooms are available for those in need for privacy or seclusion. Overall Tamra is a spectacular all-day dining restaurant, a godsend for foodies.
