This small, cosy coffee shop at the Claridge’s Hotel is nearly always packed out with locals and government types. The menu is huge and adventurous. The mushroom soup is made with wild forest mushrooms and even the tomato soup comes with puy lentils. Though it is a convenient place for a quick coffee, try the food – standards can be very high. And no, there is no connection to David Copperfield or Mr. Pickwick or any Dickens characters.
Excellent all over for food ambience service. Rohit Nitin superb. Tongchu very sweet. Boys service presentation interaction very very happy pleasant and a delight. That's why we keep returning regularly 👍cheers
We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, all the food was of the highest quality and the service impeccable and very friendly. Thank you to Rohit Abrol and Mahinder to help making our stay so enjoyable.
Was there for my birthday with family. Chander and vinay with there entire team took very good care and made us feel at home.loved it.will visit again
We had everything we could want on the menu and buffet. We especially enjoyed the almond pancakes! Coffee, tea. fresh juices, smoothies, etc. What a treat to have freshly made juices!
I enjoyed a panini with buffalo mozzarella, roma tomatoes and basil pesto. The accompanying french fries were thin and crispy and the pineapple juice was fresh and refreshing. My husband said his club sandwich was nice (but not the best he's had in Delhi). The service was very good.
‘Pickwicks’ is a name many might relate with Dickenson era but here the resemblance ends, there is absolutely zero relation between the two. The fact: Pickwicks is a wonderful coffee shop of The Claridges with an adventurous menu. The hotel is loved by the Delhiets so it gets a lot of footfall directed towards Pickwicks. This small, adorable coffee shop may be approached for a quick cup of coffee with muffins but the punters end up trying out the menu and initially falling in love with the lip smacking food. Décor of the restaurant is not pretentious or over the top classy, instead it is cosy and chic. Punters come in droves to the coffee shop and sit there for hours enjoying the serene atmosphere. Some come to delight in the outdoor area with friends gossiping under sun attended by the friendly staff. The service is nice and smooth.
Pickwicks deal into casual eclectic food which seems to be in hot trend with the young set. The coffee shop has been renowned for dishing out fabulous sizzlers so expect to see locals and government officials as part of the clientele. As most of the government officers belong to Southern India the coffee shop has a section dedicated to the southern fare. Start sampling the menu with appetizers like, cherry wood smoked salmon, saffron & seafood broth, brie & pear salad, prawn cocktail, cobb salad, crostini platter, roasted roma tomato soup, Caesar salad, chicken noodle soup. Walk-in at any time of the day for their juicy and succulent burgers, wraps and sandwiches. They even toss some al dente pasta in robust flavourful sauce. Don’t miss out onto their famous sizzlers. They do variety such as, sausages, surf, turf, vegetarian sizzler, classic pickwick sizzler and gindara misozuke sizzler.
The mains offers dishes from different regions in the world. You will see, fish n chips, lasagne Bolognese, nasi goreng, laal maas, lucknawi dum biryani, kerala fish curry, grilled pink salmon, shahi methi paneer, Cajun spiced chicken, chicken chettinad, Singaporean laksa, baked spinach & mushroom cannelloni, thai red curry, lamb matsaman curry, prawn balchao and grilled new Zealand lamb chops. Delightful desserts, gelato, tiramisu, passion fruit pannacotta, French lemon tart, chocolate croquantine and warm apple gallette will make you swoon.
