This is the signature Indian restaurant of the Taj Group of Hotels and of its most famous chef Hemant Oberoi. The food is modern Indian and can often be exceptional: a millefeuille of masala crab is Chef Oberoi's most popular creation but even the more robust dishes such as Martaban ka meat, a curry of mutton in pickling spices served in achaar jars, are triumphs. The room is coolly elegant and service is smooth and unobtrusive. This is the place to take a foreign guest if you want a flawless experience.

The menu is short yet takes you on delightful culinary spree. The influence of clever cooking can be judged by the recipes and their special twist. Appetizers like tandoori lobster, narangi black cod, varqui crab, Haleem ke kebab, khurmani ke kebab, kothmir wadi, Bhatti prawns, carpaccio and chaat, lamb roti jala and ambedi fish tikka are part of the delectable menu. The soups like lobster rassa and kale chane ki cappuccino are definite success. The entrees are as interesting as the appetizers. Masala cod on rice, duck four ways, sunehri nalli, raan ki potli, mirch aur malai gucchi, nadru aur anjeer ke kofte, paneer anardana, mustard prawn, gosht biryani are some of their finest additions. The martaban ka meat is one recipe you should not leave without trying. A millefeuille of masala crab is chef Oberoi’s signature creation and must have. Accompany your mains with mini olive naan, camembert and truffle naan, naanza and mirch ka paratha. At this point a saffron lassi will do very nicely.
