Delicious Asian Food At Spice Traders

Renowned today as the ‘Playground of Bollywood,’ Goa has always been a captivating escape on the fringe of urban civilisation. For centuries, it has emitted an irresistible siren song, attracting global nomads in search of progress, enlightenment and adventure. Situated between the verdant jungle and white sands of Vagator Beach, W Goa is an hour’s flight from Mumbai and a 90-minute drive from Goa International Airport. Overlooking the Arabian Sea, the resort spans across 25 acres of private sandy beach set against the backdrop of a 500-year old Portuguese Fort.

Located within the escape of W Goa Hotel, Spice Traders is an enchanting oasis of calm on the ever-buzzing Vagator beach. With a contemporary look dominated by an antique wooden flooring to its blood red vases makes Spice Traders the most intimate of settings for a truly titillating Asian dining experience. And this is exactly what was in store for the Sunday brunch at Spice Traders. With the aim to reinvent the very art of Asian gastronomy the team went slightly overboard. Imagine a brunch with the excessiveness of not stopping.

The entire concept of ‘Feed Me’ revolves around the quarter plate system of an all you can eat, while relaxing by the golden sands of this tropical oasis of calm. With Executive Chef Tanveer Kwatra and Dawa Rama, they dish out a feast to the likes of Chicken Chongqing, which hits the spot. The Crispy Water Chestnut is delectable enough to make you want more and the Bamboo Charcoal Prawns is a playful experiment on something new and unique. With open spaces and fresh breezy air, stop by the bar on their terrace for an expertly crafted cocktail, by the lionized view of the Arabian Sea.

This is a new Sunday brunch in town where the folks at Spice Traders lay out their Asian finest. With Tuna Truffle Tostadas on one end and the creamiest Goat Cheese Wonton on the other, together it can send you spiralling into the stratospheric gastro ecstasy. While the food is unlimited be judicious in the choices, as the team here are all set on an agenda to feed you silly till you can eat no more.

Head on over with heavy appetites to allow oneself to sample the Thai Roasted Chilli Prawns alongside the Baked Singapore Chili Crab. The unique presentation will make you want to photograph the preparation at the risk of it turning cold in the process. However, one could always have more, And with a live band playing in attendance one can always sit back and enjoy the view with a heady cocktail in tow.
