Set against the crashing waves across the manicured gardens of the W Hotel is Spice Traders. Dine on preparations that exude comfort with a contemporary twist by masterminds Exec Chef Tanveer Kwatra and Chef Dawa Rama who chant the very same mantra. Derived from the same inspiration and art is foremost showcased in the menu repertoire that speaks volumes about this dining experience. Lounge at the indoor dining area or the outdoor deck with chic design in red plates adorning walls accompanied by the red chilli installation by Goa’s renowned artist Subodh Kerkar for a company. Start off with the 'Mekong Delta' and inspired 'Nikkei - a Peruvian Japanese Culinary Sensation', in the truffle tuna with crispy cabbage or the yellow and red pepper. It is colourful and enticing, with each crispy bite inspired by art. The 'Salmon Cracker' has the chef’s touch in the addition of pickled pears topped off with the crisp enoki roll to impress your taste buds. An upmarket experience that impresses, like the tasting 'Brulee' or the drool-worthy 'Orange Cheesecake' for dessert, they both leave one asking for more with a varied lasting flavour.
5 stars for Ambience and Service (although at times they can get a bit ahead of themselves!). The hostess and Manager were great! We ordered a platter of sushi which certainly wasn't the best and infact was dry and felt flat on the palate so much that event the wasabi couldn't help! The pad thai serving was massive and seemed like it was dumped on a serving platter by an angry chef. The portion size is certainly more than what it should be and this should have been advised by the server. Overall, a slightly underwhelming visit, but may try the place again for the ambience and service!
Go there for some nice sea food grills. Lunch is probably a good time cause this restaurant looks over the Vagator beach and gives you a great view. Ask Nishant for a cocktail but just tell him your poison and let him create a cocktail for you.
Dinesh was a very warm host and made sure we had an excellent choice of food especially the goat cheese wantons with mango sambal sauce, cha han rice and Thai brocolli asparagus in chilli basil sauce. Would visit every time I’m in Goa. 😍 Being a hard core meat lover, the veg food here blew my mind. ❤️
Amazing food and hospitality by the restaurant. The veg preparation is really amazing. Must recommend for pan asian food. Probably the best in Goa. Special mention to Mr. Dinesh from the restaurant, very humble guy amazing service. Special gesture by him to get the special dish "goatcheese wontons" Ask for him when you're here.
Recommended for lunch as you have a nice beach ambiance. Lovely restaurant & very friendly staff. We were there early on Sat eve, 8.30pm. We were distinctly uncomfortable- loud, very cold & dark. Not our ideal dining conditions- maybe we are getting old! The Prawn dumpling was actually very good as was the mixed rice but the green curry was the least authentic we have ever had- straight from a packet.

The cost for two is expensive but goes well with the food quality and service it provides.
