Beer is one of the oldest drinks the world has ever known and loved! International Beer Day gives all the beer lovers worldwide just one more excuse to have a round on the first Friday of August. Beer has always been the drink of choice for the ordinary working man or woman. When it’s served up cold and frothy or strong and everyone across the globe celebrates International Beer Day on the first Friday in August every year – this year it’s falling on August 6, 2021! The start of another weekend tempts us to put aside our work, set aside differences, and come together to celebrate our love of beer.

Arbor Brewing Company, Brigade Road, Central Bengaluru

Arbor Brewing Company, commonly known as ABC- originally founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1995, opened their first overseas location in Bangalore, in 2012. In late 2015, ABC was the first microbrewery in the country that began ageing beers in barrels. In a nutshell, they make a beer, and once it’s ready, they age it in a barrel for an extended period of time. ABC has a few whisky barrels as well as some wine barrels. Barrel ageing typically provides layers of complexity and flavours to the beer.
