Amidst a canopy of shade from the thick foliage around lies a quaint café in the heart of Anjuna. With a massive bookshelf for the company, this café exudes minimalistic décor with a peaceful vibe. A breakfast menu prevails through the day with of salads, sandwiches and Mediterranean delights as well. Start off the proceedings with a Cortado- a shot of espresso with a dash of milk and foam in a glass or a Cold Coffee Frappe to tide over the summer blues. Choose from a variety of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices and shakes- they pack a wholesome punch. The Danish Rolls with Vanilla Custard and Raisins are a fix for the sweet tooth craves followed by the Crunchy Butterfly Bread with Butter and Nutella. A healthier option would be a bowl of muesli. End it with an Artjuna Toast - melted mozzarella and yellow cheese with olives, onions and tomato sauce, much like an open pizza.
Wanting to whisk away from busy streets of Anjuna then this is where you should head to. An ambiance so airy and peaceful set beside an art gallery amidst the green. This place has a bit of quaintness to it, enhanced by all the artistic excellence that adorns the place and the measurable collection of books they offer. If you are looking for a beautiful space that serves you the calm and peace you desire then your search ends here :) The kind of café you want to go alone, prop your feet up (or tuck sideways) and read while sipping your coffee or smoothie while the books will give you company. Coming to the food we tried the Mushroom Borekas: Baked filled pastries made of thin flaky dough and stuffed with a delicious mushroom mixture. Pro-tip: Have it before it cools down. We then tried the Mazzet platter - What a mighty delicious platter this was! A selection of Meditteranean flavors starting from Kalamata olives, feat cheese, hummus, smooth tahini, tickled vegetables to olive pate and served with warm pita bread. This was love on a platter! We then tried the fluffy pancakes with a side of butter and maple syrup - Simple, classic pancakes that could bring a smile on your face! But, my most favorite item on their menu was the Jamun smoothie. I strongly recommend you to not leave this place without trying this smoothie. I adore this smoothie! A perfect blend of Jamuns, banana, strawberry, curd, and honey. It cannot get better than this! For desserts, we tried Paris brest and Banana split. Amongst which I liked the Banana split better - A split banana layered with 3 delicious gelato scoops! Drooling! All in all an Art lovers and food lovers haven set in a rustic environment, brimming with everything that screams peace and beauty. (Please note they do not serve non-vegetarian food but, as an exception, they do serve tuna)
Visited this place today and it was great. I had the museli and fruit which was a huge portion and my friend had shakshuka again was lovely! Slightly pricey but worth it and such a nice environment. Defo worth a visit!
Had gone to Artjuna for breakfast and it was a very nice experience. The ambience of cafe is very artistic and it’s a nice simple setup. They have a lot of options for all day breakfast, we had omelettes, iced capicino. The bread they served along were freshly baked. Egg shashuka was not that great. But overall a good experience
Very Nice and Large Cafe in Anjuna. Good food quality and price. Lots of gluten free options. Nice market and iyengar class in the cafe.
Nice place, but bad service. I got a feeling they don't care for indians. Food is ok but pastas are handmade in a bad way so avoid them. Hummus platter is good though...
