Goa is blessed with both seas as well as rivers. If you can get a chance to dine at a restaurant from where you can enjoy the blissful view, nothing like it. The rooftop Hanging Garden restaurant at The Crown Hotel is one such venue. This poolside restaurant is the best bet for fine dining with a spectacular view of the River Mandovi. The menu is replete with North Indian, Continental, Oriental and Goan fare but it is the barbeque delicacies that caught my eye. The chef recommends 'Grilled Fish With Lemon Garlic Sauce', 'Thai Pi Chicken' and 'Mexican Prawn Cameron'. 'Chicken Fillet Steak' and 'Bacon Wrapped Prawns' or the classic 'Fish n Chips' are all time favourite. There is a huge range of Goan specials like the 'Quintessential Vindaloo', 'Chicken Cafreal' and 'Fish Masala Rawa Fried'. You can have your complete Indian North meal ranging from 'Dal Makhni' to 'Paneer Kadai' and 'Mutton Rogan Josh'. However, 'Mediterranean Burger' and 'Herbed Cheese Chicken Burger' are very popular out here. They are served with delicious crispy 'Potato Wedges'. You cannot leave this place without trying the lip-smacking traditional 'Dodol' and 'Bebinca'. My favourite spot in the city for the sundowner!
