A hit and miss surrounded by foliage as you whizz past the bustling streets of Candolim is the Republic of Noodles at the Lemon Tree Amarante resort. Known for their Pan Asian cuisine, one must start off with the 'Grilled Fish with Lemon Basil sauce' and 'Indonesian Beef Satay with spicy peanut sauce' as you sit back and enjoy a cocktail from their eclectic bar menu. The 'Crispy Fried Lamb with tangy chilly garlic sauce' is filling and portions can be shared. A soup not to be missed - the 'Tom Yum Goong with Lemongrass', 'Kaffir Lime Leaves' and 'Bird Chilly'. Consume with care as one wrong sip can send you coughing away to a cold glass of water for respite.
I've previously warned diners to stay away from this place because of its crazy tax and service charges additions to the bill. However I cant fault the decor or the food selection and menu available. So reluctantly I went back knowing full well the menu price would get bumped up by up to 30%. So I knew what to expect. I cant fault the pleasant surroundings which are perfect for couples and large parties. The food is delicious and can be as hot or mild as you wish. The portions are plentiful and filling. Then comes that nasty bill!
Awesome resort and very helpful staff and the food was delicious, great options and variety of cuisine... must visit
Stayed at the Lemon Tree so tried this due to convenience and good reviews - really were not disappointed and returned twice!! Highly recommend if you're in Candolim.
This is a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful setting. Perfect for a romantic meal. The cocktails are divine and the food delicious. If you're looking for an experience above average in the area you won't be disappointed.
A taste of Thailand. (You get what you pay for, prices are on the menu, you’ll either want to eat here or not) The irony being abroad in India yet craving Thai food, by absolute luck we passed here.. At first we did not know it was Thai or a restaurant I feel it’s a little hidden especially after dark. I’m honestly shocked by some reviews. 👀 This place is just incredible🍴 🤤 mouth watering food. They do a variety of foods, me personally I do not like to see a huge menu anywhere I go, cause the real question you have to ask yourself is, where are they storing all the food? Most food must be frozen. But this restaurant is actually also linked to a hotel. We did not want a huge set meal. So we got a few starters as mains. •Shredded Fried Lamb •Chicken Skewers with peanut sauce. •Vietnamese vegetables spring rolls. •Pineapple chicken rice with cashew nuts. Everything was presented spectacularly. And everything tasted beautifully. Though it was quiet, the service here was exceptional. Our server poured our drinks, made sure everything was okay and checked back after a few minutes in to our meal. And because the restaurant has an outdoor under a canapé setting our server gave us mosquito 🦟 repellent which was a really gesture. The music is so good. 🎶 I found the restaurant had really soft lighting and had a pleasant, soothing ambience to it. The decor is so stylish also. You would literally sit there all night. 10/10 for me And probably the nicest restaurant I’ve been to in a while ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I hope before I leave Goa I’ll have the pleasure to eat in here again.
