An American Diner in Goa! Conceptualised by Savio Noronha this is a biker inspired resto-bar. The exterior though unimposing and the confines limited, the view of the Patto creek from the verandah is refreshing. Walk up a steep flight of steps to a Harley Davidson and graffiti strewn wall with images of James Bond, Marilynn Monroe, Elvis Presley and the old favourite American muscle car adorning the walls. The menu interestingly resembles a news tabloid keeping you engrossed while the order is prepared. Order from a variety of beer or try their milkshakes and mojitos to wash down a wide range of hot dogs, pizzas, burgers and even meals. For starters, the cheesy chilli fries – a stringy affair is a must to wet the palate. Relish the Drums of Hell, Oh boy! They taste like heaven. The desserts are powered by nicolla, a german pastry chef par excellence. From the Café Brulee, dobo’s torte, cheesecakes, brownies, opera slice and zurgerKirstch it has something for everyone’s sweet fix. The portions are comfortable, the food well thought off and creative.
Our last night in Panjim was spent at Route 66 - an excellent veg pizza and an outstanding greek salad. This is for sure a nice alternative to Goan fare (which I love) - a bit of a break. Lional (manager) and the rest of the staff provided very good customer service. Thank you to the staff.

This is our second visit to Route 66. It’s a shame that the service is so poor because the food is pretty good. The attention to detail is abysmal. On our first visit, we had to ask the waiter over to take our order, and proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our meals. To our dismay, only one arrived. He thought we ordered one meal between two of us (?). The second visit was just as disappointing; we waited half an hour to catch 1 of 2 waiters’ attention to take our order (I can recommend you order the steak not a burger). They seem to struggle even though it is that it’s not a busy OR large restaurant. I do understand that people make mistakes and things go wrong, but it is a bit exhausting. We nearly walked out. I might suggest the overly arrogant ‘lead waiter’ come down a peg or two. It’s fine to be confident if you have a reason to be, but a restaurant full of complaining tables begs the question, are you in the right job? The music is way too loud, you can’t hear yourself think, and the air con is freezing so take a cardi.
We found this around the corner from another restaurant we had booked, popped in for drinks, we given complimentary fries and decided to return the following night based upon the quality of friendly service a fries!! We were not disappointed, my partner described this as the best burger she has ever eaten, I had a tasted and it’s true. Awesome fries, the Appletini and Long Island Iced Tea cocktails were exceptional and all at a very reasonable price. Great music too.
Myself and 7 friends just found this place when walking around, we decided to eat here, the staff were friendly and helpful. This place is very quirky and has a good feel to it, the menus is a little odd it comes as a magazine. This was a little confusing for some but fun, we had 1 foot long hot dog that was very tasty as we’ll as the burgers we had. The cocktail were not bad as-well, we all enjoyed it and if you want something different from the local cuisine give this place a go. We all recommend eating here and we felt it was also well priced.
