Captain Haddock and Tin-tin were my favourite comic book characters growing up. And Chef Xavs Norr has imbibed the similar concept with food inspired by the great detective's travel. Nestled in Vagator this grub pub with its earthy vibe is welcoming to one and all. Low seating, rustic thatched roofs, an elongated bar and a grill outside, along with a touch of Goan influence to the continental selection of world cuisine. The nibbles please the palate with the Popcorn Bacon and Potato Skins. Try having them with sour cream. It is heaven in every bite. There is a wide range to choose from - salads, burgers, pasta, noodles and pizzas. The sandwiches are a meal in themselves; The Pulled Pork Ban Mi and the Croque Monsieur – a honey roasted ham and cheese in potato bacon bread delight sends the salivary glands into hyper drive. With an eclectic dessert menu to choose from, we would recommend looking no further than the Fresh Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream topped with caramel sauce and crushed walnuts.
Located near Vagator beach, this quaint cafe named after Tin Tin is a cool place to relax with a pizza and sip some drinks. There are however no Tin Tin themed decor or food here, except some graffiti on the wall and a few pictures from Tin Tin comics on the menu card. The place is not crowded as such and therefore perfect for taking a break in the midst of your travel schedule. We ordered the Chicken Chilli Mushroom pizza and Chicken Chilli Fry. The pizza was outstanding. The service was also prompt and friendly.
It is a nice place to stop and have some beer or drinks, however there is no such ambience. But yes a peaceful and open space to sit, relax and very less crowded. Wi-fi is available, so you can stay connected with everyone. No such great experience however very near to vagator beach, hence you can grab snacks, relax and listen music. Net net it is good place with simpler food!!!
