The vibrant streets of Calangute have everything to offer on one's trip. The trip in question now, without tripping on the word literally - is the trendy Trip restaurant in its new avatar? Enter the place to a cosy bar ambience. Laterite clad with a sofa to plop on and just a table for seating. A great place to rub shoulders with the passerby folk. The tapas menu alongside the cocktail mixes is a muddled affair. Start off with the 'The New Old-fashioned' - a bourbon, Drambuie and sugar concoction. If in a group, opt for the 'Fire Lamborghini' by Abhimanyu. Watching it being prepared is an art. Nibble on some 'Masala Prawn Bruschetta' attractively presented. For the dessert selection try the 'Almond Mud Cake' that is sure to hit the spot. The Indian cuisine at present rules the roost and the infusion of European and sushi cuisine alongside the pizzas will make this place a destination to relax and unwind at.
Had dinner 2 times and both times were served very tasty, good portioned food. King prawns and tiger prawns very fresh with veggies and potatoes. Tried also the croquettes, wild mushroom pasta and stuffed chicked with rice. Great impression. Friendly waiters, big cocktail menu, medium prices. (Prawns 500-800INR, mains around 400INR, cocktails 300INR)
chicken served n delivered is a must try when you visit Trip Restobar Calangute.Cooked in a delicious gravy without being extra spicy,it tastes very nice.
Had lunch packed but food quality was very poor. Ordered simply Jeera Aloo but was very disappointed to find that it was terrible, spicy and not at all up to the mark of even the food served in roadside dhaba
Just popped in to escape the sun and grab a beer and some WiFi as the place looked lovely offering a little haven from the bustle and dust. Menu was very enticing so ordered a couple of starters. Chilli paneer was absolutely delicious as was the calamari. We will be back!
This is a lovely restaurant which looks great. The food was superb and delicious across the range of the menu. The staff were hwlpful when making meal choices. A nice relaxing atmosphere in the bustle of Holiday Street. Recommend this highly, we will return to try some more dishes
