Hoppipola, draped in white, yellow and blue, derives its name from an Icelandic word meaning ‘jumping in puddles’. The quirky playfulness of its name permeates to the décor as well as vibes of the place. Hoppipola has a corner devoted to books and board games. Once the natural light fades away, Hoppipola morphs into a typical watering hole with dim lighting and loud music. The cocktail selection at Hoppipola would not win any awards, but is adequate. Most drinks are quite heady but do a decent job at masking the harshness of the liquor. The food here is quite decent. I was impressed with how pronounced the flavour of Truffle was in the 'Truffle Oil Fries'. The dishes have quite obviously been tweaked to satiate Hyderabad’s love affair with red chilly. Whether it was the 'Fries' or the 'Southern Spiced Prawns' or the 'Dhaba Murghi Fry' – everything was delicious but also quite fiercely hot. The vegetarian selection is also interesting and well executed featuring creations such as 'Mexy Mama Roll' and 'Paneer Bhurji Pao Bhaji'.
Ambiance was Ok, food was good, good service as well, well located very nearer to Hitec city, Silparamam. Overall, good experience
One of the few places around hitec city that I love to go back to. A small but cosy place at a walkable distance from Cyber Towers (the Hitec city landmark). The food never disappoints and they have an offer menu at all times on alcohol. It is a perfect setting for 'after work hangout' with colleagues or friends. What most people don't know is that their sound system is better than most so called 'happening' places. Both DJs who play there on a regular basis are good. They sometimes surprise you with free vodka shots :).
Went there coz the name sounded interesting. Was pleasantly surprised with the setup. It is a rather small place but very well done. The DJ was good and played good songs. The prices were good and the drought beer was nice. They have valet parking. The crowd was decent and mostly college kids.
