Jonathan’s Kitchen loves to reinvent itself every year. However, one thing that remains a constant is impressive food. The menu succeeds in balancing with the responsibility of being the only restaurant in the hotel with the desire to push boundaries. This year’s highlights include a fantastic 'Pistachio and Almond crusted Baked Brie' with Chili Walnut relish and a zesty Tuna Tartar. There is a lot on offer for steak lovers – 'T-bone', 'Sirloin', 'Chateaubriand', 'Grilled Tenderloin', and 'Rib Eye'. Even the fare that is meant to appeal to a wider palate is served with enough refinement to please a gastronome. The Pasta selection offers a decent 'Agnolotti' and some terrific 'Gnocchi'. Pizza lovers will be delighted with Jonathan’s rendition of 'Quattro Formaggi' and 'Pepperoni'.
Went for lunch and had a special deal which is excellent value. The salad was delicious and pizza was amazing and a nice rose as well. The staff ran like clockwork friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend we went to the Manhattan Ave store.
Picked this place primarily from other reviews, and so pleased we did Went as part of a walk around Williamsburg, location was excellent. We arrived around 3pm, so it was naturally fairly quiet. Staff were friendly, happy to explain all the ingredients we had questions about. A few of the beers on the menu were missing we were told, but the did have the one we wanted Pizza was really very good indeed, light and just the right amount of crunchy from the wood fired oven. Toppings were as described, just the right amount added. Service was speedy as a result of being fairly quiet, but not in any way rushed Two smaller sized pizza's enough for a late lunch for two adults. Didn't go for dessert as did not wish to eat too much. I wish i could take this place back to the UK, it would be a goldmine for sure
The restaurant is a usual Italian pizzeria with wood oven. The antipasti were good but too Italian. The pizza was very good, very well cooked and dressed. Very similar to the Italian pizza... maybe just a bit too crunchy. The waiter was super nice. The restaurant is a bit too dark, it was even difficult to read the menu!!!
A friend and I stopped in for a pre-rehearsal pie. We split the spinach pizza, and it was incredible. The crust was a perfect amount of gooey, and the pine nuts and white truffle oil gave a decadent flavor that was to die for. I will certainly be returning.
The pizzas are something out of this world, great variety. The hosts make everything simple and the music was amazing too!
