The buffet restaurant at Jalvihar has Bollywood themed décor. Thus you have colourful posters of Hindi films from yesteryears, portraits and statues of top stars from Bollywood. Close to the entrance, there is a huge replica of the cage from the scene of the song “Piya tu ab to aaja” in film “Caravan”. There is a movie hall style ticket counter where you need to pay the buffet charges in advance before you enter into the restaurant. The buffet is quite extensive with close to 10 vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes each. The dish names are prefixed with names of popular films, an example being 'Silsila Fried Fish'. The food, however, is pedestrian. The taste is nothing to write home about and the items on the buffet are often cold. The live counters are sometimes left unmanned. Service is indifferent too with the waiters looking clueless and not very motivated.
