Smoky Pitara derives its name from its signature mystery boxes of food. You get to pick the box (Indian, Chinese, Continental, or Dessert) and the Chef picks the delicacies that go inside the box. The boxes usually comprise of 4 different dishes and can be shared by 2 or 3 diners. Smoky Pitara is amongst the new crop of stylish pure -vegetarian restaurants that have caught the fancy of a city that is renowned for its royal, non-vegetarian fare. The restaurant remains busy through the week, and reservation is recommended. It is not difficult to surmise why so many keep flocking to Smoky Pitara. The menu is not particularly ambitious or adventurous. Instead, it banks heavily on crowd favourites. It is divided into 3 sections - Indian, Continental, and Oriental, and the kitchen pulls off each cuisine with aplomb. The bold flavours are both eminently likeable and comforting. Pair this with a lively, well-anointed dining space and great service and you have the recipe for success.
Visited with family, food was good , service was ok, lots of scope for improvement in both areas, Being a vegetarian restaurant it's sort of limited in variety
This place is absolute love!Ambiance is beautiful and quirky, colorful and funny posters around. Coming to food, this place is pure vegetarian and I couldn't be happier. The place is little expensive and not at all 1000 for two which they have mentioned in their info but place is must try!
Smoky Pitara is a fine pure vegetarian family restaurant offering a wide range of starters and yummy main. Smoky pitara offers a nice surprise set of starters. All this in a wonderful ambience and attractive prices
Went with family for lunch over weekend. Their buffet lunch is good and economical, and has good variety. Food taste is good. Parking is no problem. Negative points are: 1. it's a small restaurant. So it's kind of cramped and noisy. So don't go there if you want to have a calm and peaceful lunch or dinner. 2. service is poor. They really need to gear up to handle weekend rush.
Visited with family for lunch. The spread is only vegetarian and this was a plus for us. Located on main road of Jubilee Hills Rd 36- a prime Commercial Street in upmarket area, it is fairly priced at Just Rs 500 per person for a buffet meal. The selection of starters is very good and so is the main course. We were a tad disappointed with desserts as it was limited but ok. Place is modern and will appeal to youngsters and this was evident from many young persons visiting the place even for lunch. Valet parking is available and hence parking not an issue. Hygiene and fast service is another aspect we liked. Recommend for all age groups and a great value for your money.
