The first thing that comes to your mind is who would have expected a place like this to open up in Sector V Salt Lake - the IT HUB of the city. Rich teak wood interiors with bar stools, a huge bar place with sitting all around make it a perfect place for chilling out after the office hours. The finger food or the starters alongside the bar menu is exhaustive and there is an option between the kababs, Chinese platters and other continental starters. The main menu is elaborate and the alcohol menu is quite impressive. Pasta does well and the 'Chicken Tex-Mex Spaghetti' is saucy and delicious.
It's one of the most convenient lunch places for our lunch group and we usually visit once a week. Plus point - the place serves continental, indian as well as oriental combos with a soup of the day ( veg / non veg) or a mocktail, a main course and side and a vanilla ice cream with hot choco sauce and that too within 300 ish range. Our group members each have different choices and choosing from these different options work for us.The portions are good and taste is good too. My fav - spicy grilled chicken lasgane - slightly different from the typical one. Has only 2 layers of pasta sheet with meat in between and topped with cheese slices and grilled. My friends prefer chicken strogonoff, chinese as well as chicken steak. Tried pasta as well once - was good and cheesy. There's no music ( thankfully not loudy!) during lunch time and if you visit before 1 pm it's usually empty and service is good. They usually have couch type chairs - pretty cozy. Minus point - pretty dark and they usually have small circular tables able to cater to max 3 ppl. So for a large group it's usually a problem as they club more than one table together. We have been there at dinner too. Starters are good and so are the main courses. Music is on and a bit loudy.
Music is bad ... The DJs are rank amateurs ... Decor is fine ... Service is good ... I am not visiting again ...

If anybody asks you where's the party at then you should say '10 Downing Street' every time. One of the coolest bars in Kolkata, 10 Downing Street captivates your attention with it's old-fashioned décor and a relaxed vibe that lures the tipplers. Want to take your friends out for a good time or chill out with your colleagues post work, then this cozy bar would be perfect for you. 10 Downing Street gives the nightlife of Kolkata a fresh boost. Their vintage outtake is somehow new to the city's night scene and the diners lap it up with pleasure. Fixed firmly on the ground floor, Plot G2, Block GP, PS Srijan Corporate Park, Sector 5, Salt Lake, the bar gets crowded any given evening. As it's located in middle of IT hub, most of the office goers spill here.
If all you want to do is dance all night and drink till you drop then 10 Downing Street is your place. Equipped with a dance floor and throbbing music, the bar is a lively chirpy hub of activity on weekends. Those who simply want to nurse their beers can pick a booth and do so. The bar stocks everything from wine to scotch in great variety. Order whatever gives you a buzz. With it, combine something to nibble at from the bar's eclectic grub menu. Menu is appetizer heavy, go crazy. If you're here just for food then we suggest you save your appetite for their main course. It's a delightful compilation of a plethora of dishes such as, lamb steak in red wine sauce, diced chicken in Szechuan sauce, nilgiri korma, au gratin with garlic toast and penne alfredo.
Variety is truly spectacular. One trip won't be nearly enough to have your fill of 10 Downing Street. Ask for a sheesha to keep your company throughout the evening. Between good music, lip-smacking food, endless drinks and dancing, you will find yourself having a pretty fantastic time. Interiors of 10 Downing Street resembles an English pub, albeit a tad more refined. The teak wood floors, wood trellis ceiling, polished wooden railing diving the bar with olive and deep red couches adding the contrast, the bar comes off as a masculine earthy room with a warm inviting vibe.
