It is an open-to-the-sky glass ceiling restaurant, where the food is based on the four pillars of Kolkata cuisine: Bengali, Tangra Chinese, Anglo Indian and Nawabi cuisine. This all-day dining restaurant in The Lalit Great Eastern will impress you at the word ‘go’. The all-white décor and glasses all around, along with the glass ceiling, will make you fall in love with this place. The gondhoraj mangsher chop and the mutton stew with pao are not to be missed items. While in the breakfast menu, some of the pastries and breads come from the Bakery, the lunch will see an evenly balanced buffet spread between local and Continental dishes.
I really like the way they arranged the restaurant. The service was great for breakfast and the food was also nice.Loved It.
An excellent buffet selection, particularly for breakfast where they had high quality European and Western breakfasts alongside really tasty Indian breakfasts from across the country
went to alfresco lalit to have a new year get together for lunch the buffet had less options for vegetarian and the starter they served was terriable and ice cold no one was there to look what they are serving surprised to see the serving and quality of food in sunday rush hours very less options for vegearian.I will not preffer to go anymore personally.
The breakfast menu is extensive and delectable however the long wait to get a table made it quite frustrating especially since we were staying at the property. Hope the management resolves this issue as soon as possible. However, the service is quite good and we enjoyed the fare.
This is part of Lalit Great Eastern, Kolkata and is located bang in the central district of the city. Commute o the place in peak hours can be a bit of a chore. The decor is all white and looks really classy. Service was prompt and the place was comfortable. There is a small pool of water just outside the area. Options were however limited and there are way better buffet spreads available in Kolkata. The choices available in desserts was particularly appalling. The food quality however was pretty good. All in all, a good place if you dont have any other option. Otherwise, I would prefer one of the other buffet places in Kolkata over this any day.
