This is a recently opened place in the Southern Avenue neighbourhood and promises good Asian cuisine, where dishes, other than just the Chinese cuisine, can be tried. The simple ambience is very soothing and ensures a pleasant dining experience. The menu is exciting since you get the entire Asian deal here. The quality of the ingredients, taste of the food as well as the portion size is equally impressive.
Asia house,a place with a minimal decor and heaven for all the chineese, thai food lovers. . Location:5 min walk from Lake Kalibari, Nearest metro station : Kalighat. we had: House Special Dumpling(6 pieces) One of the best dumplings in town.(Recommended) . . Drums of Heaven :The name says it all, its truly tastes heaven. A slight twist in your ordinary chicken. chicken lollipop tossed in chilli sauce, and sprinkle of sesame seed makes the dish a perfect starter.(highly recommended
Asia House, located at Lake Kalibari, which is a few minutes away from Kalighat Metro station, has established itself as a mainstream outlet serving authentic & classical Asian items. As I entered the restaurant, I was taken aback by the Chinese influence on the decor, the highlight being a tiny green statue of Buddha, which adorns the wall opposite to the entrance. Elegant lighting and comfortable seating arrangements formed the ultimate combination with a prompt service. We ordered the following items. 🔹 Asian Mushroom Soup (Chicken) The Chicken version of the classic Mushroom Soup had fresh pieces with a thick consistency & the after bite of ginger acted as the perfect palate cleanser. 🔹Sui Mai The highlight of this dish was the Asia House Special chilli oil & corriander sauce. The combination really blew my mind. 🔹Som Tam A green papaya salad which is essentially a Thai rendition of the original Laos origin dish. The salad has a crunchy texture & a savory flavour. 🔹Tausi Chicken The thinly sliced chicken was perfectly cooked & blended really well with the black bean sauce. 🔹 Roasted Pork with Black Pepper & Bok Choy Perfectly Roasted Pork with Chinese Cabbage & the perfect bite of Black Pepper consequently soothed by the use of garlic. Highly recommend this. 🔹 Drums of Heaven I think the name is enough. 🔹 Asia House Special Dumplings (Pork) The pork was of top quality and it paired well with the soy sauce topping. One of the best Dumplings I've ever had. 🔹 Chicken Corriander Rice 🔹 Sliced Fish Hong Kong with Sweet & Spicy Sauce The fish was fresh & the sauce was well balanced. 🔹 Mixed Chilli Sambal Noodles 🔹 Egg Hakka Noodles Lastly we ordered the signature bowls of the restaurant. 🔹 A Chinese Lost in Burma (Pork) Dimsums dipped in a bowl of hot soup with crispy noodles & a perfectly poached egg. 🔹 Vietnamese Pho Rice noodles & tofu served in a bowl of Vietnamese soup along with an assortment of vegetable like spring onions, Bok Choy, bean sprouts, corriander, chilli, lime and so on. Out of the two my favourite was the Chinese Lost in Burma. All in all, Asia House had managed to serve high class and authentic Asian dishes. The ingredients were fresh & the flavours were incredible. Do check this place out if you want to savour the versatile cuisine of the biggest continent in the world.
This restaurant offers fantastic Pan Asian cuisines at affordable price. The array of food on their menu is quite impressive covering Chinese, Thai, Burmese and other Asian delights. The ambiance is simple and service is efficient. Located on Lake View Road, close to Southern Avenue, it is very easy to find. You can reserve your table through Zomato.
A cozy place where you can hangout with your gang and can havd some good Thai or Oriental food at reasonable cost.
Located in the lane next to Lake Kali Bari, the restaurant is quite easy to find. We made reservation via Zomato and got our table on time (on Christmas 2017). We ordered Asia Mushroom Soup, Shanghai Hawker's Soup, Jiang;s Pan Fried Chilli Fish, Asian Barbequed Pork, Lat Me Kai Chicken, Sliced Fish in Bok Choy, Xao Sa Ot Pork, Chopsuey Mixed, Thai Chilli Basil Noodles, Chocolate Brownie & Ice Cream Sandwich. There portions were good and the 5 of us were very full in the end. The food was finger licking good, service was great and the ambience was quite nice as well. On the downside (which won't discourage me from going there again) is no alcoholic beverages are served. Still, a must visit for all those who like asian food.
