Deck 88 is the most recent addition to The Astor, the long-standing hotel in the heart of the city. Set against the backdrop of an old fashioned building, this is an outdoor area with an abundance of greenery with planters all around, as well as on the walls. It is indeed a beautiful setting with muted lights and peppy music. They have an excellent spirits menu which is quite reasonably priced for a four-star hotel. A crisp 4-page menu has everything from desi chakhnas to delicious kababs, sandwiches, rolls, pasta, grills and rice bowls. Murg Chakori Kabab, is a smoky rendition to the Hariyali Kabab with the addition of spinach and is a must try dish. Keema Mutton Spaghetti is also a really cool desi version of Bolognese. The grilled Kolkata Bekti is a delicately balanced dish and to finish off, one must try the chilled Lemon Pie, which has just the right amount of sweetness and tang.

Give your palate a burst of delicious flavours by tackling their varied multi-cuisine menu. For first course they tempt you with a variety of appetizers. Try eating, Thai spiced crab cake, Turkish borek with creamy house dip, rock chilli shrimps, classic bruschetta, Konkani style fried calamari and Greek meatball. Those who are still hungry can choose between, the classic tuna melt sandwich, butter chicken cannelloni, Thai red curry, Italian spiced pepper prawn, murg chapli Mughlai pockets, fusilli creamy pesto and Caribbean cottage cheese steak.
