A vegetarian food lover’s delight, this restaurant is the ideal setting for a dine out with family and friends. It is located in the busy Camac street area with a warm and classy ambience. The menu is from all over the world, some traditional and some out of the box stuff like a 'Maggi Pizza' and a 'Maggi Sizzler' which seems to be extremely popular amongst diners. 'Turkish Borek' which is a stuffed pancake with spinach and cheese is quite interesting and Mushroom Stuffed with spinach and loaded with cheese is the best thing to have. Pair with some 'Dal Tadka', 'Nawabi Malai Kofta' and 'Masala Kulcha', it will complete your meal and satiate your taste buds.
The Indies serve various Indian and also Foreign unknown yet tasty dishes. I had a very good dinner at this within a limited budget.
Amidst the chaos and commute of the city, deep in the middle of one hell of a heavy traffic road that Shakespeare Sarani is, lies Indies. A food heaven for Vegetarians, this place has managed to built quite a soft corner in the heart of a romantic foodie like me, with their warm reception, cool presentation and extremely yummy food. Kudos to Nazibul and team for being such amazing staff. I would just like to say, best it is - indeed. Indies.
It was this Monday night that we decided to try a new restaurant and bumped into Indies. Hesitantly though we went inside and before ordering the main course we took a chance with Masala Papad and Paneer Angara. WOW was the expression. The main course, especially the various breads that we tried were simply out of the world. However the Dal Makhani was very ordinary. Service a little slow but hospitality too good. The green chutney that they gave wth the Papad was amazing.
This was my second visit almost after a year, I was amazed by the spicy "paneer angara" and the impressive service received. These are the kind of places people like us expect when v go out of town.
Nice clean looking restaurant, staff very friendly and attentive. No vegan items listed on menu, but chef was able to veganise a few dishes for us. With a little explanation the waiter understood. Food was lovely and plentiful. Average price for a sit-down restaurant. There was a small charge for a 'doggy bag' to take some away, which was ok, because we couldn't finish it all.
