Over a decade old, Opium is easily one of the most happening addresses in the city’s IT hub. Thronged by techies out for some after-work fun (and a few bottles of beer) and college students, this well-appointed watering hole is bustling with activity all week round. The alcohol is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is just right for a chill-zone (it can be quite loud but that is how it is meant to be). Quintessentially a drinking den, they serve reasonably good food. The menu – Indian and Chinese – packs in both finger food and a range of wholesome dishes, all well priced. Mutton Patiala is a pop pick here; or try the murgh senakati (cheese stuffed tandoori chicken), chicken pepper salt and the fish cheese sticks.
