Want to dine in a Zamindar house from the yore? This is the place to be. Right in the middle of city centre 1, lies this restaurant, done up in opulence. Beautiful glass chandeliers, velvet wall linings, artwork, woodwork and the whole deal; one would want to spend as much time as possible and plan for a return dining experience. The menu has been crafted with some common and some unknown recipes from the various districts as well as Bangladesh. 'Jhuri Jhuri Loitte Mach Bhaja' is a terrific dish which goes well with rice as well as on its own. They have several thali options, out of which the corporate thali option is the perfect choice for one person and is very price friendly with unlimited quantity of food, even for the non-vegetarian dishes. Food is made with a lot of care, which is evident from the taste of every dish that you order. You will not be disappointed.
As a Bengali, really loved the ambiance. The food is entirely Bengali and served in traditional bronze plates and bowls. The Bhuna Mangsho was good as was Mochar paturi. Did not like the Muitha that much. Porotha was typical bengali and tasted great with Mangsho. A must visit once for those looking for bangali food. Service was however pretty slow. Starters took almost an hour to come.
Authentic mouth watering bangla food..loved the ambience..flavour..taste..service..simply heavenly!!
food good quality and tasty. specialises on bengali cuisine - specially enjoyed bhetki roll and chitol macher muithya, Dining plates were stylish metallic - scope of improvement on cleanliness.
must go if you want to taste the bengali food whether its vegetarian or non-veg - fish or chicken. one stop shop.
