Located on the mezzanine floor of an obscure building in a fairly posh locality, this place takes you by complete and utter surprise as you enter. The decor is in simple whites and beige. White wooden furniture with ceramic plates on the wall gives it a very English appearance coupled with the 80s and 90s English pop playing in the background. The menu is simple and crisp. It has continental and Chinese on the menu. The desserts are to die for, especially 'Coffee Panacotta' and 'Lemon Pie'. The pannacotta had the perfect wobble with a strong filter coffee flavour, yet a creamy smoothness.
The restaurant is very good to have a special dinner. The dishes were delicious and very very tasty.
The foods at this restaurant are extremely good and very satisfying. They are available for at cheap rate.
Had dinner last week. The food is mostly continental and Chinese. Understand that they have a fixed bengali thali (Ghee bhat, fish fry, kancha lanka bata mutton curry). I liked the ambiance, the food ( we chose continental) was reasonably good. The desserts are made in house, had a lemon pie which was certainly very good. Enjoyed chatting with the inn keepers - two senior ladies, who do take personal care in looking after guests. Understand that they also rent out the place for private parties. I suppose for such parties about 35 people could be accommodated. For a sumptuous dinner for two we paid Rs.1000 - I feel the pricing is reasonable in comparison to similar restaurants.
Location : Conveniently tucked away from the main road with ample parking on the street. Ambience: All white decor is simply soothing to your eyes. Tastefully done on the mezzanine floor of a residential building. The climb can get adventurous though but a small climb. Service : The owner Amritha takes care of the orders. She is well versed and suggests what best suits the guests. There were few other servers who were well trained and courteous. Menu : Serves Asian and continental. The menu is not extensive but comprehensive. We had ordered a mistake of Asian and continental and loved the food. The quantities were just right and had distinct flavours. A meal for 2 can be 1400 ++ for a drink, starter, main course and desserts. Quite value for money. I would rate : 4.75/ 5
The sub-continental food was great and delicious. The restaurant is located at a new place at Kolkata city so there were no rush at the hotel.
