This cute Pan Asian eatery offering Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese cuisines, can easily be missed if you don’t go looking for it. The colourful décor and cheerful ambience are welcoming. Known for its meal in the bowls, the menu, however, offers, salads, momos, stir-fries as well. The Prawn Momos disappoint as these are bite-sized and sadly, lack flavour. Thankfully the Sesame Chicken from the ‘Busa bowls’, comes to my rescue. Served in a bowl with honey glazed chicken, soy, garlic with rice, this dish offers luscious sweet-spicy flavours and more than makes up, pleasing my palate. The Burmese Kaukswe here is hugely popular and comes in vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions. The Cambodian Chicken Curry is mildly flavoured and gives you a feeling of déjà vu but is tasty nevertheless. One can pair it with rice or noodles. Vegetarians must indulge in the Sticky Veg Bomb. Kaffir Lime Prawns, Basil Chicken And Beef Bulgogi from the stir-fries section, are offerings which will delight carnivores. The portions are hearty and the ingredients of a good quality. Chocolate Mousse or lemon tart are your best bets for dessert. Service staff is polite but not too articulate.
A must try for Pan Asian food lovers. The best we found here was the Burmese khwaowsey and the Mekong curry as well. The serves are in good quantity and moderately priced. A small place and you could get waiting a on the week end. However, the only big pain point here is no parking outside the place and they don't have a valet so that's another pain. One would have to make a couple of rounds to and fro to get parking.
Busago, the name derived from the word “Busa” meaning flower is a casual dining restaurant specializing in Burmese, Thai, Chinese and other Asian cuisines. With over seven different outlets, Busago serves some of the best bowls in Mumbai popularly known as “Asia in a Bowl”. Each dish is at it's finest and has the authencity of herbs and spices picked out from trained chefs. It is a new age of Asian food joint in the city, affordable and more flavorful than you'll ever know. We started with the Som Tom Prawn Salad which we really enjoyed. The salad was made from raw papaya, mango, cherry tomatoes, steam cooked prawns further garnished with crushed peanuts. Further , on the recommendation of the chef we decided to go with the Sesame Chicken Rice Bowl, steamed cooked rice topped with the gravy of honey glaze chicken, egg, soy and sesame. An absolute pleasure for the rainy weather on that day . This dish was warming soothing and delicious on so many levels. With a commendable staff the place boasts of it's flavors and ambience as a whole making this one of the top and lavish food outlets to visit in the city of Mumbai. To all the food fanatics, this is your go!
Do you know your food will taste much better if you have it in a Bowl. Busago is one such place where all the mains are served inside a bowl. Also a special mention to their super fast service, all orders took just 5-10mins to reach our table. Speaking about the food 3FLAVOURED PRAWNS(4.5/5) is surely a must try it has got Sweet, Spicy and Tangy flavoured curry topped upon garlic fried rice. We also tried their TIBETAN CHICKEN MOMOS(4.1/5) If you are looking for something sort of sweet go on with CAMBODIAN CHICKEN CURRY(4.0/5), it's base ingredient is coconut milk. BASIL CHICKEN(4.4/5) uf you go as per the name its good but has nothing much to deliver. With not much options in drinks i tried COCONUT NIMBU PANI and LEMON ICED TEA We ended all this with CHOCOLATE TART(4.5/5) which has Chocolate Ganache inside a Tart and BANOFFEE IN-A-CUP whose cup is made up of Tart and has toffee pudding inside with chocoflakes and banana slices upon it. Overall: Taste- Good Service-4.9/5 Ambiance- Good
We went for a causal family meal and waited to be seated. The service was very scattered... no water, rushed order taking, serving from top of our head, no courtesy at all!!! The meal was ok... nothing great!!! When the food arrived we got half bowls of gravy... which was shocking!!! Barely enough to dip the khow suey noodles... let alone eat it with the coconut gravy!!! When I spoke to the manager about this, he was gracious enough to give us some more... not without mentioning that this happens when they are extremely busy during weekends 🤷♀️... beats me.... isn’t this what a restaurant looks forward to!!!! Anyways... a hurried meal, not worth remembering ... nothing to write about!!!
We ordered the khao suey and and an egg fried rice with a chicken garlicky gravy. They were both delicious, big portions that could shared by two and felt healthy eating too. Not too greasy and good, fresh ingredients. Recommend it!
