This chain of cafes is a great place to catch up over a cup of chai. This is a casual cafe that works perfectly as a venue for meetings, catching up with friends over a cup of tea or even just a convenient spot to work out of. They are known for their range of teas including 'Kulhad Chai' and 'Tulsi Green Tea'. The food here is more of a snacky affair with sandwiches and Nashta including things like 'Bun Maska' and 'Vada Pav' as well as some sweet treats. Perfect for when you are feeling peckish and do not want a full meal.
Chaayos have been experimenting with chai from a long time and now they have started their monsoon experiments with Chaats.....Successful experiments. They have come up with 4 new chaats which include 1) BhelPuri 2) Samosa Matar Chaat 3) Egg white Chaat 4) Chicken Keema Papdi Chaat! Being a eggetarian I didn't get to try the last one but all other 3 were really tasty. Samosa Matar chaat was finger licking. Coming to what we had in detail. 1) Bhelpuri:- It is served on a bit spicy side but if you don't prefer spicy you can ask them to make it less spicy and it was one of the best bhel's I ever had in mumbai. 2) Samosa Matar Chaat:- It was the best of all three chaats I ever had the sweet chutney was perfectly sweet, plus I loved the way it was presented. 3) Egg White Chaat:- One of the unique things for people who prefer egg white and looking for something chatpata. It was dressed with some unique masala which tasted really well. 4) Kulhad pav bhaji:- If you are going to chaayos this is something one must try because chaayos understands the meaning of butter in bhaaji as well as the pav were the pavs that are used for pav bhaji not for vada pav and misal pav which most people do is they use same pavs. 5) Baarish Waley pakode:- A variety of veg, paneer and mirchi pakodas that are served with green minty chutney. The quantity is pretty good and they are covered with a special masala that you should discover on your next visit to chaayos. 6) Shakes:- We tried 4 varieties of shakes which were Cake Shake, Kulfi Shake, Strawberry Shake and Chickoo shake. Cake shake is the best shake at chaayos it is pretty filling and perfectly sweet, Kulfi shake gives a authentic kulfi taste with something chewy in it which I couldn't understand but was really tasty. If you prefer fruity shakes strawberry and chickoo are your thing but other them that you can go for Mango shake as well it's really amazing. 7) Chocolate Factory cake:- Dense, Dark and devilish as chaayos defines this one and in my perspective its the best definition for this one it's sweet chocolaty at one end and dark at other. P.s. It's pretty big so I would recommend to try it with someone. The ambience of chaayos is and always have been lit af. In love with this place.....
Chayos powai always comes up with new and innovative menu. They have come up with chaat menu which is so yummy. They have samosa chaat, egg white chaat(yes egg white) and also bhel. I am a chaat lover for Delhi but still admit the chaayos chaat were really tasty and also filling .
Great varities of snacks and Tea's. Huge varieties of tea and options to make ur own type of tea. Kulhad Jalebi is delicious and a must try!
At 10 pm, I was working on a project at home. Tired and drowsy. While wondering how to be active again! Addiction for tea, forced me to make a move and enter chayoos ( located near to my house). Ordered all time favourite masala chai (tea) and banana walnut cake. Went back hone fresh and completed the project... Thank you chaayos for being there when no one was around
The 'Welcome to Chaayoooos' chorus ringing into your ears every time you visit Chaayos is so very welcoming. It feels as if the place is giving out positive vibes and you can't help but feel the excitement of savoring some delicious dishes.. So we started off with tasting their variety of 'Experimented Chai' . Amongst all, the ones we loved the most were : •Golden Green : This is basically for green tea lovers. Green tea with Honey and Tulsi tasted marvelous. Pretty sure you'll love it. Definitely recommend this one. •Drinking Chocolate: Well who doesn't love chocolate? This is basically thick Hot Chocolate that has an amazing cocoa taste. You simply cannot resist having more. Highly recommended. 😍👌 •Khullad chai: Chai with kesar in typical indian style 'khullad' giving it an amazing taste in every sip. •Aam Papad Chai: Mango combined with Chai surprisingly went so well hand in hand making this chai thoda 'hatke' . Then we moved onto the Appetizers rather the 'Nashta' Menu : •Kulhad Pav Bhaji: Pav Bhaji was hot and delicious with mouth relishing Maska Pao. Really flavorsome and A must try. •Bun Omelette: Early morning breakfast consisting of a well cooked omelette is just too good. Fluffy omelet with some added spices placed in a nice thick bun was the perfect meal even in terms of quantity. * Bun Maska Vada : Vada pao is a favorite dish of Mumbaikars. Spicy soft Vada in soft bun was served with green chutney and few other dips. The soft bun instead of the normal pao made this very appetizing and flavorsome. •Bun maska kheema: The mutton Kheema was so perfectly cooked which melted so well in the mouth making it very enjoyable. •Thepla Tacos - Chicken: What I like about this is the creativity where spicy red roasted chicken was stuffed in the Thepla in tacos style . A great indian and mexican combination. Loved it 👌 Their Masala Chai Frappé is a really very Unique idea that I've never come across before. Chaayos offers delicious Iced tea of different flavors amongst which my favorite was the Cinnamon Chai. It tasted slightly creamy with a burst of chai flavor. Lastly for the dessert we had the The lemon blueberry cake soft and delicious just too good. The Staff at Chayoos were as very welcoming. This wasn't our first visit but despite that they still catered to our needs just the way they did during our first time. This outlet of Chayoos was a little bit bigger and different. The exterior was quite colorful and eye catchy and so who wouldn't want to drop by?
