Located in multiple places, Chaayos is a popular cafe and much-loved for serving a variety of tea options and quick snacks. This modern version of a tea stall is clean and hygienic and great if you are craving for a hot cup of tea. The cosy corners are seamless for spending quality time with your loved ones over a delightful indulgence into an assortment of snacks and tea. Sabudana Tikki, Keema Pav, Matar Kulcha are some of the snacks that go well with tea and are flavoursome too.
Pros. -Decent chai place.. -Mom's poha tasted good. -The Adhrak signature desi chai was good. -Server was good. She did come outside later and asked us of our experiences. Gave her feedback on the food and chai. She offered to replace the bun omelette but we politely declined as we were on our way somewhere else. -Will probably go back to try the Kulhad pav bhaji & kheema. Cons -Kheema pav wasn't available in the morning at 11:20. -The Omlette pav was blah.. not trying that ever again there, the Bun seemed stale. And the omlette was nothing to talk about as it seemed below average. -No service outside.
Been a fan of Chaayos ever since I visited the first time in Bandra. They have a wide range of breakfast and snack items to offer along with an extensive array of hot and cold beverages. I personally love their Desi Filter Coffee which I never miss during my visit. The mandatory Bun Maska is always heavenly to have with a cup of cutting chai. Kheema Pao, not to forget, has recently been added to my favourite list. The kheema bagged with flavours and spices stuffed between the soft as cotton bread, is a melt in mouth dish. Baarish wale Pakore were an absolute delight. The hot and crispy paneer, onion and chilli pakore were yummy as hell. Next I called for the Kadhai Chicken Sandwich which was absolutely delicious. The Kadhai Chicken stuffing between the soft breads were amazing to munch on. Enjoyable in every bite. For the sweet tooth I had, Date and Fig cake which was served hot. Soft and fluffy cake with pieces of date and figs in every bite were heavenly.
We were welcomed with "Welcome to Chaayos!" greeting from the servers. We ordered Desi chai (with Paani Kam), Kulhad chai , Kulhad Pav bhaji and Napoli Sandwich as the first order. The Desi chai still had more amount of water than expected but it tasted good with elaichi and all. Kulhad chai was great with the earthen glass making the experience amazing. The Pav bhaji was spicy with the pav soft and the bhaji had a lot more vegetables than a usual pav bhaji. The Napoli Sandwich was unreal with the mushrooms really soft and delicious. Then we ordered the Palak patta crispies. As the name suggests , it was crunchy and savoury though there was a definite lack of jalapenos. The taste however was pretty awesome that even a non spinach lover will love it Then as dessert, we ordered a Banana Walnut cake. It was so epic and fluffy with the right tinge of banana that we were forced to order another one because we were not able to fulfill our tastes with just one of it. We finished the second one as fast as the first one Finally, we ordered the Date and Fig cake which was recommended by the server. It was pretty good though I am not that big a fan of either dates or figs. We also ordered a Desi Cold Coffee and Thandi Elaichi chai as closing drinks. The thandi chai was a first-time experience and it is something one should definitely try once in their life. The desi Cold coffee also tasted great Food 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Service 4/5 OVERALL 4/5 For more details, reviews and images follow us on @desipotbelly | INSTAGRAM | ZOMATO | FACEBOOK #desipotbelly
We were in the mood for snacky stuff for lunch and went there with family. The decor is done well and the staff is very friendly. We tried their kulhad chai, Shahi chai as well as cutting chai. Verdict: Shahi chai is very thick and creamy - seemed made in condensed milk and heavy cream. Did not suit our taste. The kulhad chai and the cutting chai seemed similar, but liked the taste of the cutting chai better. We also tried their vada pav, kheema pav, bun maska, shikanji and poha. The pohas was very dry. The vada pav and bun maska were ok. The shikanji was good and so was the kheema pav.
Typical Chaayos with nice affordable pricing, made to order tea and good snacks. We tried the Poha which was amazing, though they could have done without Sev.
