Andheri East has new restaurants mushrooming all over and Cocoon at the Dragon Fly hotel is one of them. The restaurant is simple, nothing too elaborate and mostly caters to in house guests. The menu is a mix of mostly Indian and Chinese food. They also have staples such as pizzas, sandwiches and snacks such as sev puri, nachos, cheese balls and French fries depending on what you are in the mood for. However, their strength of course is their North Indian fare. Nothing to rave about but good food and worth visiting if you are in the area.
if you want to have a good and sumptuous meal in budget, but with excellent ambiance, this is the place to go.
A quick lunch plan at this restaurant in the Dragonfly hotel. Located at a quite busy location near Andheri East. Cocoon serves North Indian, Oriental cuisine primarily. Has a nice small area for outdoors, have around 6-7 tables in air-conditioned area inside. The decor is very minimal, loved the outside wall art and murals. Outside area also has crushed stones spread over floor to give a real effect of dinning in open area. We tried their Mocktails Virigin Mojito and Blue Lagoon which were average. Mojito lacked the punch of lemon and mint. Blue Lagoon was a bit over sweet. For the starters we ordered : Fish Koliwada : Wonderful appetizer option with very soft fish cubes coated with batter and deep fried served with mint and onion and a lime. Paneer Chilly : A bit spicy for me though loved it. Paneer was very soft, the spices used were perfect with flavours. Peppers and onions with peanut sauce balanced very well. For the mains we ordered : Prawns Chilly : Nice mid sized prawns perfectly cooked in a soy sauce, with peppers. The curry had nice flavours and perfect spice level. Veg Manchurian : The fried manchurian balls were perfectly cooked and the sauce was great with perfect glaze and aroma. Both of these curries we had with veg fried rice which was a bit different than regular and the combination was very nice. Somehow we reached a bit late and their tandoor was closed so we could not try the kebabs or their special Naan turn over (I think thats correct name) which I think will try out some other day. Their seafood platter looks amazing so will try out that as well next time. For desserts we called for Fruit Salad with ice cream which was nice. Very quick and prompt service by Sujit is really appreciated, he got our orders very quick on informing him that we are here for a quick lunch during our office hour. Its a nice option for people working around JB Nagar and Chakala. Moreover it is close to my work place so a quick visit is on cards again.
Good food and good people excedendly wrote earlier review because I was comming from another hotel from Noida which was too bad. I can Give 5 out of 5 to this hotel.
We had Chicken Sholay kebab, chicken kadai and some pulao. Extremely courteous staff and the place has an outside seating too. The overall size of the restaurant is quite compact.
Small, cosy restaurant located on the ground floor of dragonfly hotel near international airport.
