This fine-dining restaurant is known for its Italian cuisine and undoubtedly boasts a great view and ambience. The elegant décor adds to the mystique. The bar at the entrance is eye-catching and well-stocked. The food menu is not too vast but offers the popular Italian dishes one is likely to seek. Pizza, antipasti, soup, homemade pasta and risotto is what you can expect here. There are a fair amount of vegetarian options in the menu. The freshness of the ingredients is what imparts the unique flavours to the food here. The Calzone Pizza here is one of the best I have ever had. Non-vegetarians can enjoy the fresh seafood here. Seared scallops and Salmon Carpaccio are an absolute delight. For vegetarians, the Ravioli with spinach, pine nut, sage butter, is a not-to-be-missed dish. In the mains, the Chicken Cacciatore is worth a try. The flavours in each dish are distinct and the high quality of the ingredients shine through. Among desserts, Pannacotta and Tiramisu are a treat for those with a sweet tooth. The staff is well-informed and ever-willing to assist. The service is prompt and efficient.
Mr Santosh, thats what we remember, excelent Manager, my eife, my sister in law, together with our baby, we just had one of the best dinner in Mumbai. The chef’s , all of them, with the training from europe, they ve prepared the best pasta and sea food, good wine, nice music, and staff smiling. Wonderful view to the lake and Hiranandani City. Next time will be our mandatory stop... cheers!!!
We ate here many times during our staycation at the Renaissance Hotel. breakfast spread as well as the buffet lunch was awesome. Many options, various cuisines and great service by the staff.
It was good decision to opt for breakfast at Fratelli today. Being a weekday, it was relatively easy to get table. Staff was courteous and attentive. The food was made with care. Special mention of Deepak who took good care and made is comfortable. We had South Indian breakfast and the portions were sizeable and fresh. Overall a good experience today and a welcome change from the last time I came here. Value for money. A good visit.
we visited this restaurant as we had heard their Sunday brunch is very good and must go if with kids. We were 2 families. the food is good, kids play area is also good. Problem was the service. The staff is not courteous at all, they gave us a table at the bar inspite of clearly mentioning at the time of booking that we have 3 kids with us. After insisting for nearly 15 minutes, they agreed to give us a better table. The live counters were left unattended most of the time and there was hardly any staff to take orders at the live counters. No complaints for the food at all. good variety and quality is excellent. They did not have any security to watch over the kids play area. All hotels in this category across Mumbai generally have a tight security for kids area. Would like to go back for the food provided the service improves.
So, it was my wife's birthday and we decided to go out for dinner to celebrate - 6 of us. Two families. My wife felt like having Italian food and being a Mariott and Renaissance Powai member, I called and booked Fratelli Fresh for us. It was a Monday evening so we weren't expecting a huge crowd. Imagine our surprise then, when as we drove up to the Hotel, we were greeted by a mass of decked-up humanity, all wedding guests, congregated under the awning because it has started raining. In December! Anyway, that's neither here nor there. On to the restaurant itself. The first thing we noticed as we walked past the buffet spread was Tandoori chicken. Now, this caused some cognitive dissonance since we had missed the memo where Tandoor was part of Italian cuisine. We were still reeling from that when we were struck with Jhinga (prawns) curry, Chicken do pyaza, and Gosht nihari, interspersed with chicken and Margherita pizzas! Upon further investigation, we were informed that the original Fratelli was under renovation and this stopgap Fratelli was a multicuisine restaurant for now. Of course, we could still order Italian a la carte, but we just decided to sample the admittedly tasty spread of different cuisines sitting side by side on the counters. Now before I proceed I want to clarify that I am not complaining about the restaurant or the food. Both were very good, and while we ended up having a mixed cuisine dinner instead of Italian, our innate gluttony made sure that we enjoyed everything to the full. The servers were additionally harried because all the wedding guests had been moved st short notice inside because of the unseasonal rains and they were starting to crowd Fratelli as well. The servers and staff repeated apologised to us for the noise and the chaos and tried their best to ensure we still enjoyed our dinner. Appreciation due to Rohit and Babubhai for that. To sum up - not the Italian dinner we had envisaged originally, but given the circumstances, a tasty and enjoyable repast nonetheless.
