You have to hand it to the team at Social, each outlet has its own identity and this spacious one is possibly their funkiest one yet. With heavy glass chandeliers, floral wallpaper on the ceiling, chequered tiles in one part and funky booth like tables that are actually just enclosed with saloon doors are just parts of the decor that makes this feel like you have walked into the sets of the mad hatter's tea party. All the mismatched decor adds to its charm making it a quirky but fun space to dine at. It is much quieter in the week, so, if you are looking for a relaxed meal with friends without extra noise or people this works.
Visited with four friends for the first time to #Social. The place is very spacious and having gone on a weekday around 930pm, it was empty. The service is fantastic and the staff is courteous. I just found the food pretty expensive and the portions small. We had chicken and mutton starters as none of us were hungry. But that itself cost us a packet! So if are one of those people who love spending, it is the place to goto.
This Social has a decor different to the other Socials yet maintains the generic theme of a Social. The whole decor is wallpapered right from the ceiling to all the walls. The design is Victorian floral and so is the design on the winged chairs. The whole decor has beautiful Victorian theme to it but also throws in splashes of contemporary feels on some walls. The food is good too. It is well-cooked as well as a big thumbs up on the taste. The Basil and Thyme Paneer Tikka was cooked just right with the right amount of flavour. The Samosa Chole chaat and the Sesame Honey flavoured fries. The Chicken kebabs are delightful, the Jalapeno Cheese Nads taste heavenly to cheese lovers with cheese oozing out though one can't taste any jalapeno in them. The much talked about biryani is well worth the hype. The service could be better. It looked a little under staffed for such a huge place and some staff was a little stuck up which could be due to over work. Needless to say this place is pretty spacious and even has a dias for live performances. They have live performances on and off (some good some not so good). The service part could be overlooked since the food was good.
The place is decent enough to go, i think it Lacks people it has to try something different, i didn't see it fully packed even on a Friday night, the DJ was ok not awesome, the place is good space is there with seating, the food and drinks are good i liked the taste of food worth having.
Socials is always top of mind when you think of sasta daaru to go along with lip smacking food... The one at Fun Republic has been my regular jaunts, although very dimly lit, it still brings the right mood for an evening full of fun... The rock music playing on a relaxed Sunday evening helped elevate the mood over more... The papad platter, Chicken Ghee Roast, Chicken Tikka, Paneer Tikka, Chakhna, Mutton Seekh Kebad and the Chocolate Blood Bath are definitely a must have... The staff along with being highly amiable also gave very good suggestions for food and discounts available... All in all a fun evening...
Good ambience, great mocktails and good food. Was the NMIMS 1993 Alumni party celebrating silver jubilee of the Post Graduation in Management
