A relaxed sea side al fresco lounge hugely sought after for its splendid view of the Arabian Sea, offers an equally large and comfortable seating space indoors too. The location contributes to the popularity of this place and people come here to unwind and watch the sunset. The sprawling bar is manned by bartenders adept at mixing and serving cocktails attractively. They are happy to assist you with suggestions. The drinks menu is comprehensive with some of the finest spirits on offer. The service is quick and efficient and the staff well-informed. Apart from the usual nibbles accompanying drinks, the food menu offers substantially filling finger food for those hungry. Hearty portions ensure you have enough. Calamari rings, lamb kibbeh, saunfiyani paneer tikka and Korean fried chicken are must-tries. For a large group, the kabab platter is a value-for-money option.
Enjoyed a sundowner as the sun dropped below the horizon. Great location albeit the minimum INR2500 charge for the privilege is a little unfriendly. It would have been a perfect evening had the waiter not charged us in Euro instead of INR despite insisting we would not. This spoilt a good evening and we felt conned by the experience. I want to pay in local currency... not for the bar/restaurant to arbitrarily decide I should pay in Euros, at whatever conversion they have worked out! The prices are in INR... I should pay in INR!
If you want to take someone out on a date- this is one of the best places in Mumbai. Breathtaking views of the Arabian sea. Food options are very limited, but its small trade off for the amazing experience one can have here.
Whenever we dine out we don’t only consume the food, it’s the whole ambience, which we experience! If the ambience is enriching then it automatically adds wonders to our dining experience. I have always been fascinated by outdoor seating/ terrace restaurants where I can have a great dining experience and enjoy the light breeze. While in Mumbai, I was fortunate to visit the beautiful Gadda Da Vidda which was not only an outdoor seating restaurant but it overlooks the beautiful Juhu Beach. While having our food and sipping our drink, it was a fascinating experience to watch the waves of the beach. Coming to the F&B, we started with some light breezy cocktails, Sangria Fruity as well as Sangria White. It was a delightful experience sipping the well-made Sangrias. The romantic ambience and setting just added to the experience. It was time for food and we ordered the veg as well as non-veg platter to get the best of both worlds. The Veg platter had Paneer Tikka, Seekh Kabab and Tandoori Aloo. The Paneer lover in me just loved the Paneer Tikka which just melted in my mouth. The Non Veg platter had Fish Tikka, Lamb Seekh Kabab, Chicken Tikka and Punjabi Murg Tikka. Everything was just so fresh and well made. I also tried the Chachu Paneer and Chachu Prawns. Uniquely made, a little sweet, a little spicy…loved both the versions. The Spring rolls were delicious- crispy outside and gooey inside. They had a filling of veggies with soft cheese melting out of the fried coating extending a great flavour. If Jack Daniels is your drink then our recommendation is also the Jack Daniels Honey Drumsticks! Totally a must try for the boozy lovers! The Three Mustard Chicken was also an innovative dish. Chicken on skewer over a flat bread- MUST TRY!!! If you are not a fan of outside seating, they also have a beautiful indoor seating where there is also a DJ panel. The music can be heard inside as well as outside giving us the liberty to choose our seating as setting. My preference would definitely be the outside seating overlooking the beach amidst the palm trees!
The Gadda Da Vida is located inside the Novotel Hotel, in Juhu. It has views to the beach and nice sofas and music. However, it's quite expensive.
Had an amazing time here. Located near Juhu Beach, this place has a very nice ambiance. The service was prompt and polite. The food and beverages were also good.
One of the key pleasures of dining out in a seaside city like Mumbai is the stunning ambience that the city provides. Take your fill of the palm lined roads and sound of crashing waves filling the background like a soothing music. Diners often take advantage of the eclectic fine dining scene the city has to offer, dipping and diving into the sublime gastronomy accentuated by the lovely backdrop of this marvellous city. Some of the best restaurants in Mumbai is tucked in posh Juhu locality and one of them is ‘Gadda Da Vida’ of Novotel Hotel at Juhu Beach. It is a hip lively place perched on the edge of the city overlooking a gorgeous wide span of Arabian Sea. The lounge is always brimming with happy fun-loving crowd, most of them page three celebs enjoying the al fresco dining right next to the sea.
Gadda Da Vida is an open air lounge spread beside the Arabian Sea from where you get an eyeful of sunset view while romantic live music plays in the background. The location is the big reason why the place is so popular with the local crowd as many people turn up savour the view with amazing delectable food. Revel in a full-fledged bar menu and hit their continental fare with few of their house concoctions such as grass skirt, hazel eye, king coal, first kiss and stabilizer. Pair them with a few salty nibbles to add that kick to your drink. Tuck into, lamb kibbeh, calamari rings, saunfiyani paneer tikka, Korean fried chicken, loaded nachos and a kebab platter will do nicely for the large groups. Feast on pepperoni pizza and jerk chicken burger following the first course.
Give the evening the proper send off with couple of slices of cheesecake and sip on a dessert wine to wash it all down. The best thing about the lounge is its sea-facing location shaded by tall palm trees and expanse of twinkling blue sea in the short distance. Cosy outdoor furniture is provided for you to linger about for hours but if you don’t want to sit outside then ask for a table in the indoor space, which is equally attractive. The service is prompt and efficient. There is no place better than Gadda Da Vida if you want a relaxing al fresco style dining. Expensive but value for money.
