The Square is the all day dining restaurant at the Novotel and is a delight for buffet lovers. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes on their menu from different cuisines but the real highlight is their grand buffet spread. There are a range of dishes as part of the lunch and dinner buffet as well as live counters where you can have the chef make your dish exactly how you like it right in front of you. A part of the restaurant is alfresco dining which is lovely as you get a view of the sea and adds to the ambiance.

The square is a Buffet Restaurant at Novotel which is partly facing the pool side with a little view of the sea. The staff is very kind and courteous and always smiling. The food spread is good and so are the desserts. I tried their Sunday Brunch. They have a live grill counter facing the pool area. They have a little of everything. Chinese, Italian, Mexican, American and Indian. Salads and dips were excellent. Quite a few to choose from. I tried black garlic for the 1st time and it was so good.. well marinated and pickled. Loved the burrata and fruit salad. This was specially made for me. The small cucumber canopies were excellent too. The Chinese spread was good. The fried rice, noodles, gravy, Dimsum and a delicious babycorn, waterchestnuts, mushroom stirfry made for me. Enjoy colorful nachos with a delicious pineapple jalapeno salsa and tomato salsa not forgetting the cheese sauce. They have a live pasta counter. You can try some pizza too. I tried the Arancini here. The Indian spread had Chaat, farsan and mains. Dhokla, samosa, potli, patra, khandvi and fafda. My husband feasted on it. Loved the veg dum Biryani. It not only looked great but tasted fantastic. The Dal Makhani was delicious too. Loved it. Coming to desserts, loved the Sugar free brownie. It was crumbly and so good. The spread was really good. They have a small activity area for Children. They can play on a trampoline or paint pots. Overall a lovely experience 1teaspoonlove recommends Food-4.5/5 Service-4.5/5 Ambiance-4/5 Vfm-4.5/5 Return index-4.5/5
The place is quite crowded during meal times; must be its popularity; the food is quite good and so is the ambience. The buffet spread is quite nice. The chef is always available for handling special requests. The only drawback is that the tables are too close to ecah other and it gets very noisy when it is crowded.
The restaurant we are going to talk about next is a plush 24X7 outfit in Mumbai and is said to be one of city’s loveliest all-day dining restaurant. Another hint? This restaurant is renowned for its smashing buffet, which encompasses hundreds of dishes from all over the globe. We are talking about ‘The Square’. This very elegant tasteful all-day dining venture is a hit with patrons of all ages. From rich ladies to suits occupied with business to hard core foodies coming in to soak up the ambience, makes for an eclectic mix of clientele. The restaurant has garnered a lot of attention over the years and have managed to hold down its fort by consistent high quality of food and service. Its location at Novotel on Juhu Beach is an awesome one.
Keeping in kind its affluent and well-travelled clientele, The Square crafts a menu that has something for everyone. They handpick dishes from a wide array of cuisines and targets everything between North Indian to Italian to Mughlai to Continental. Enjoy their luxurious affair by starting with a lavish breakfast spread. Those visiting in the evening can begin with a drink first and then to the first course of, baked potato & leek soup, traditional Greek salad, cocktail samosa, lahsooni jhinga, Mediterranean phyllo parcel, charre achari aloo, bar-be-que Chicago wings, pudina gosht ki seekh, jalapeno cheese poppers and lal mirch paneer tikka. Step to the next level with, ambotik fish curry, kheema pav, salmon steak, linguini al pesto, margarita chicken burger, chacarero, lahsooni saag paneer, croque monsieur, sake teriyaki, Pomodoro formaggio pizza, Mumbai vada pao, butter chicken and pork chop with chorizo & hazelnut stuffing.
Similar to the menu their dessert section too is a mix of sweet dishes from different cuisines. Get your sugar rush with molten chocolate cake, bharwan gulab jamun, crème catalana, kulfi, roasted sweet potato cheese cake, angoori rasmalai and chocolate mud pie with vanilla ice cream. Pick up your glass of wine or whatever you are drinking and settle at a table outdoors to enjoy the view. You get a gorgeous view of the sea up close, a stunning bonus to the evening. Indoors, the décor is elegant and refined created by using heavy wooden finishes. Lighting is kept dim but does a lot to soften the look. The Square is an expensive but well-designed all-day dining venture.
