Imbiss is a place that takes its meat very seriously. Imbiss has three outlets across the city and is an ideal restaurant for serious carnivores. Do not expect a side salad or even any other cuisine – this restaurant focuses on German food, mainly sausages and schnitzels. It is affordable food, but mostly fried so any diet-friendly or health-conscious folks might find it hard to digest. The Colaba outlet is possibly the largest and also has a bar, so it is a popular place to guzzle beer and chomp on some sausages.
What does any meat lover dream about? A rare steak? Juicy hamburgers? Sausages? Ribs? A serious carnivore loves it all and still dream about more to come. Living in Mumbai has bought out every gourmet dream of ours in technicolour, especially where meat in concerned. We have our own pet places to go to whenever craving for something carnivorous hits us. And if you ask around one name will pop up more than any other in gourmet circles, ‘IMBISS’. The restaurant has over three outlets in Mumbai but the one in Colaba is much more spacious and better looking. As busy as they are, IMBISS doesn’t believe in reservations, so if you want to bag a table then go early. But if you want to save yourself the headache, simply take advantage of their home delivery service.

There is not much for vegetarians but for meat lovers the variety is breath-taking. Visit with an appetite, you will need it. As far as desserts are concerned, there are few cakes on offer but you don’t want to waste your appetite on desserts. It’s the main course you should save your space for. Designed in a long hallway, IMBISS opens in a vast space which is good-looking and comfortable. Solid wooden tables and chairs furnishes the dining room, which seems casual and relaxing at a glance. Patches of exposed brick walls peeks through the plastered white walls, giving the room a rustic earthy appeal. IMBISS is affordable too, which only adds to its popularity.
