This place is the perfect blend of class and quirky, bought together by one interesting name ‘Long & Short’. Part of glamourous Intercontinental Hotel, placed on famous Marine Drive in Churchgate, Long & Short can be a lovely addition to Mumbai’s nightlife must visits. Its location itself earns it major cool points, not to mention exquisite interiors and simply jaw-dropping menu. Kids are welcome, which is a plus. Slip outdoors to their charming balcony, from where you can drink in the gorgeous view of the sea.
Long & Short is an elegant gastro-pub with a quirky soul. Don’t be misled by its neat posh interiors, it’s as eccentric and fun as it can get. This all-day dining outfit remains open till midnight from very early hours, catering to the night crawlers and early birds. Its menu is international ranging from European to Italian to North Indian to American to Mediterranean to Continental. You are in for a lip-smacking exhaustive culinary ride. Begin with a nice innovative drink and then move onto the appetizers like, wasabi rock prawns, cheese soufflé, beer batter fish & chips, meat overload sliders, chicken tikka meat balls skewers and tawa mutton keema pao. Dig into the main course of, smoked chicken penne, Chiang mai crisp pizza, creole spiced seafood thermidor and Peruvian-style roast chicken.
Round off the evening on a sweet note. Tuck into their, flourless chocolate cake, salted caramel oreo tart, warm mudpie cake, low fat frozen yogurt, varhona 72% chocolate fondant, sugar free waffles and B&R sundae bar. The food is innovative and refreshing perspective on classic fares. The look of the gastro-pub is drastically different from day to night. In the day it seems like a classy lounge but in evenings the vibe is cosier and intimate. The colour palette is black & white, the only visual relief coming from ochre coloured cushions placed on plush couches. Windows bring in the abundance of sunlight, throwing soft glow on the long bar on one side. Long & Short is expensive.
