PizzaExpress

PizzaExpress is a restaurant in Colaba, Mumbai serving pizza, bakery and Italian. Known for artisan pizzas and sides; ideal for family meals and group outings.

We had a late lunch after a tour. We decided to try this place. To our surprise, we had the most delicious pizza. We had the overloaded chicken pizza. It has 3 types of chicken malai, tandoori and grilled. It was topped with cheese, red onion, red bell peppers with a red sauce. So delicious and flavorful.

Service was absolutely terrible. Food was good. We were told that the beer was on buy one get one free but after having 4, they said the deal was only on pitchers. Made us pay full price for it. More than that, they wanted staff contribution to be paid as well. Had to ask for a garlic oil refill also 4-5 times before they finally lifted it off another table and gave it to us. Even the upper management was hard to deal with. If I go again, it will be for the food and not the service at all.

This time tried the Calabrese Veg which was good and the thin crust which I’m not a big fan of was not so bad
Butter Garlic Prawns were good but a little more citrusy ok for me but won’t be ok for folks who don’t like much of citrus in their food (I finished the whole bowl with the garlic breadsticks with it❤️?) only 4 pieces tho??
Went with the usual American Pepperoni which was better and the crust wasn’t burnt this time Thank God..!!!
No acknowledgment of the burnt crust from last time from the staff but it’s ok the pizzas were good this time

Food isn’t the same as it used to be. The pizza was leaking of oil like as if it was soaked in it. We’ve ordered the American hottest for the longest time and it’s never looked or tasted like this. The quality of the restaurant has gone downhill. After a long day, dinner for us was ruined. They did return the pizza for a different one but that was average as well. Came in hungry, left hungry and dissatisfied.

Best food i think you can have in the town , your taste buds gonna love it , 10/10 and the prices are so good that you won't think twice . ????

The ambience is good. The decor is clean, the lighting pleasant, the seating comfortable, and it feels like a place where you might linger. It sets up expectations well.

But then, the food disappointed. The pizzas were watery — sauce-heavy without balance, and soggy base in places. The toppings didn’t pack much punch. Overall flavour was bland, lacking contrast, seasoning or that char/grill bite you expect in good pizza.

One thing struck me: it feels like the menu is tailored more for a foreign palate than local ones. Mild flavours, safe combinations, minimal spice. Maybe that works for some guests, but if you like strong, vivid flavour it falls flat.

Service was another let-down. They seem to be hustling — rushed when taking orders, quick to clear plates, not much time given to really explain options or let you decide. The staff are polite but seem pressed for speed, which affects the experience.

Finally, the pricing: seems overpriced for what you get. Given that the food doesn’t deliver on flavour, the rushed service, and the mildness of taste — paying a premium feels hard to justify.

We went for a branch at this place, the food was good. We had this spicy brusheta which was bland, the pizza was good, dough balls with nutella and vanilla latte I'd recommend.
However, the service was terrible, the waiter dropped menu on our food and was very rude. Completely ruined our otherwise pleasent experience.

Recently visited the place and found it to be quite mediocre. We ordered dough balls, Buffalo Margherita pizza, spicy bruschetta, and pasta. Everything was good except the pasta, which was very bland and lacked flavour even after it was replaced upon our feedback.

Service was decent. On the plus side, the place is clean and offers a good variety of Jain options.

Overall, an average experience and feels like a hit or miss.
